I love them but...
i think it is time for them to change the tune. 'Safety Second Body Last' has been my personal favourite of all their releases.
yay
that is all. i'm too happy to be elegant with my english.
I wrongly despised this band...
...few proper listens to their albums (away from all the hype nonsense) proved them to be pretty solid.
i'll give this record a listen.
Jesus...
...fucking Christ.
I heard it on that dreadful 'Freshly Squeezed' monster that invades my TV every morning. So many things wrong with today so far. I think I may vomit at my general existence.
rope.
trapdoor.
me.
please.
ahem
woo. hoo?
...oh but
...Mastodon, Joanna Newsom and Guillemots were in my top 10 also, so that's ok.
My list...
1. Tom Waits - 'Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers, Bastards'
2. Howling Bells - 'Howling Bells'
3. Blood Brothers - 'Young Machetes'
4. Yo La Tengo - 'I Am Not Afraid Of You And I Will Beat Your Ass'
ok, 4 down the line and already neither of them are on the list.
R x
a decent enough pop band
nothing more nothing less.
whatever...
at the end of the day, her band are still wank.
you just know...
that the album will be arse, bomb and then they'll disappear into obscurity like every other 'next best thing' of the past 5 years.
It's a shame cause I really liked Silent Alarm.
I'll give him my time...
when he can grow a moustache properly.
(and more importantly, be any cop)
As a *ahem* 'fan' of U2...
I almost vomitted after hearing a portion of the U218 album. Those songs should never be in that close proximity to each other. Evil evil compilation. burn burn.
Well...
I think this album is solid enough. Bollocks on Trail of Dead's standard, fine by everyone else.
It's solid, not life changing. I'd give it a 6.
you're wrong...
i can't decide what's a better Nick Cave album, but it's definitely NOT Boatman's Call. The Last double album and Murder Ballads are far superior.
aww
bless.
oooh...
FUGAZI!
and Pavement, Tom Waits and The Cure.
Shall I go to this aswell?? I wonder.
Michael Jackson has to be the most racist man on the planet.
I mean he CHANGED the colour of his skin. Did he hate being black that much??
Anyway, it depresses me a lot, this whole sorry affair.
Rather lame U2 stab
But a believable review. Tenacious D... hmmm the joke needs to stop.
Great Pop Song
That deserves a number 1
Like I give a fuck, like i give a shit...
I do actually.
Yuuuuuuuuussssssssssssssssss x
..
I would be excited, but I have ears that work.
Hands down...
The Fall are the greatest UK alternative band of the past thirty years and still provide some fine records and (finally) amazing live gigs. The new line-up's stellar!
If you're not excited by this news then you obviously have no invention or adventure in that carcass of yours.
Oasis
I understand that saying this as a die hard Manic Street Preachers fan is just riddled with irony, but Oasis just shit all over their legacy with every new release they make.
'Be Here Now' holds its own as a testament as the brilliant end to Britpop (brilliant that it ended so dismal that is).
'Standing On The Shoulder of Giants' was better than the last two, as previous said, for 'Gas Panic!'. 'Roll It Over', 'Fucking In The Bushes' and 'Go Let It Out' deserve a mention. Those songs still get me a leeedle bit giddy, whereas nothing NOTHING on the past two albums even makes me turn my head.
Ok... maybe 'Hung In A Bad Place'
The review was far too bias, but a nice read.
Up til 1997, U2 were (at times) phenomenal. Now get your head out your arses and your attention span out of the last ten years and realise that they have an impressive back catalogue.
This release is still unneccesary though. But then again, the last two studio albums were pointless too.
I heard...
Most of this a few weeks ago on 'The Toothpick Factory' (www.myspace.com/thetoothpickfactory) and every since I've just had a craving to own it! I'm glad it's finally out!!
He was great on his last tour!
