The worst of the worst: The Naomis run down

Call me a little naive but why are they call the Naomi's

Lets also wheel out the old joke of worst international 'female' again.

Death From Above 1979 - You're A Woman, I'm A Machine

This review pretty much sums up this record

It Fucking Rocks!

Re: Razorlight cancel show; you're gutted, I'm sure...

Maybe his ego got so big he just exploded
I would pay good money to watch that

The Rise And Fall Of The Scene With No Name

A very good article
It's a shame the Colt and Mclusky are gone, Get the feeling as well the EMBD might call it a day sometime soon.

Although it wasn't really a movement it was a better alternative to all the Strokes shit that was going on round then.

Re: Ashlee Simpson to face 'live' ban?

I wish I was the head of a big record company...

Re: Ashlee Simpson to face 'live' ban?

Was her sister was the one on the program about getting married?

If so she is an annoying cunt

Re: Ashlee Simpson to face 'live' ban?

OI, form an orderly queue behind me and Crablin.
One at a time...

Re: Ashlee Simpson to face 'live' ban?

Maybe I shouldn't be but I'm getting a little excited at that though

Re: Ashlee Simpson to face 'live' ban?

If she's going for that rock-chick look she's way too tanned. ( I wonder if there is an untanning machine?)
She should get some square glasses as well
Also how low were those trousers?

Re: Ashlee Simpson to face 'live' ban?

100 have been added in a few minutes, people are signing this all the time.
Hopefully the great man above will listen

Ashlee Simpson to face 'live' ban?

Granted she is hot
What kind of songname is La La though?
Haven't heard it yet, is this fortunate?

DiScover The Unknown - January 2005

Wow, Kinesis still exist!

TEAM - tour update and new single details

Oh well
Off to the Sumo on the 8th

Ikara Colt: "our 5 year sell by date is up"

Shame that
I really liked them a lot, Mclusky and now this.
Second Monday in a row i find out that a band I like have split.
Oh well...

Re: Bloc Party - Silent Alarm

Err not really. Anyway Ad-Rock might have something to say to you about that.

Dropkick Murphys tour

The Dropkick Murphy's are shite
I'm sorry but celtic tinged pop-punk, it's sounds bad just thinking about it.
I was unlucky enough to see them at Reading just cause i wanted to see the Rasmus get bottled.

DiS tips 2005: Editors fix up sharp for tour

Anywhere where i can hear some stuff.
I would go but they clash with the Mystery Jets.

Re: You’re in Nation: What Not to Watch 2005

You never even mentioned the dullness that is the Subways here.
It's like the Von Bondies but worse and the Von Bondies wern't that great anyway.
Got some signed stuff from them, I'll take your e-bay advice.

Mclusky split

I have a quid on me Cadd for those recordings.

I'm really disapointed that I only saw them at Reading and not somewhere more intimate if you can use that word with Mclusky in the same sentance.

I read in Pitchfork that a singles, B sides and rareities compilation might be released in the future.

Scissor Sisters top 2004 album sales

I always see Il Divo and get excited for a few seconds as I think it says Devo
Then I get dissapointed, very dissapointed...

The Subways - 1am

Hey - If they get big then I've got signed stuff that may be worth something.
Agree though on the sounding crap part though

Re: And the word from the red tops is...

"It's the sound of the council estates..."

And the word from the red tops is...

Another slightly related topic
Have you heard about the new "supergroup" formed by Carl Barat, Tim Burgess, the drummer of Razorlight and someone else i can't remeber.
They call themselves The Chavs
Surely that's about the worst band name in history?

Brendan Benson offers Alternative to Love

Is there anything anyone would reccomend?

Brendan Benson offers Alternative to Love

Pleasently surprised he's decided to come to Leicester, could be good, haven't heard much of his stuff though

X Factor losers reap the bigger reward

Did they? I was drunk on cider at the time so wasn't paying much attention

X Factor losers reap the bigger reward

My mate seems to think that the winner guy looks exactly like Fred West - can't see the connection myself though

X Factor losers reap the bigger reward

Did you see that cover of Creep?
I will shoot them personally for that

Ludes - Radio

I saw Ludes a few weeks ago and thought that they were OK, Didn't seem too intrested though.
I suppose there was about 15-20 other people there and the other two bands were piss poor.

Re: Blood Brothers

Nottingham was one of the best gigs i've been to for ages. Twas that good, The whole place was moving and full of energy especially when they played Fucking's Greatest hits.

Killers to headline NME tour

At least the Killers will be on last meaning you can go home after the Futureheads happy and content.

Blood Brothers

Nope it moved to Friday because of those bloody Yeah Yeah Yeah's

Blood Brothers

You have me all excited about Friday when they hit Nottingham.

Blood Brothers - Crimes

The Blood Brothers website says the show in Nottingham is on the 19th while the Rescue Rooms website says it's on the 17th. I'm confused...

Blood Brothers - Crimes

The NME gave it 8/10 but none of the comment's were at all relevent to the album. This album is brilliant and just seems to improve on Burn Piano... on every way possible which i thought would be bloody hard. I find that the slower songs are all really good when you get into them, I found Burn Piano... could get a bit heavy going sometimes.

Busted and White Stripes: The product remains the same

Please Busted if you know what's good for you never even think of playing Teenage Kicks again as it's people like you that Peel wanted to change

Musical hero John Peel dies age 65

When i heard the news it was like an old friend had died even though i never had met him, there was a slight tear in my eye and I just felt so empty the whole night especially when listening to the tribute program. I hope Radio 1 carry on his fine work as i dread to think what would happen to the state of music when a man like Peel departs this world. I don't know who could carry on a job like his as Peelie was truly one of a kind

RIP John Peel

Re: Agent Blue + The Others to tour: No pun immediately available

Anyone else going to the Sumo on the 22nd? Never been to a gig there before although had a drink and it looks well nice but can't imagine a gig there.

The Subways - 1am

Is it me or are they only about 15?

Re: Super Furry Animals - Songbook Vol. 1

The DVD is good, All the video's are quite entertaining and there is a good documentary. Its a shame the Man don't give a Fuck video is just a collage of various performances and not just one full length live performance.

Re: Radio 1 Rejig: Pearce and Peel move; Murray and Bowman granted MORE time!

Isn't the Club down Union Street Somewhere?

Re: Christian O'Connell wins DJ of the Year Award

I will never forget any Southampton fan for nicking Paul Sturrock off us!

Re: Reading/Leeds Adds: dEUS, SFA, MC5, Soulwax, Iccy Line...

I'm Just so happy that the Super Furries are playing. My ticket doesn't seem like a waste of money anymore

Re: !!! - Return for London one-off

Its any three repetitive sounds that take your fancy like pow pow pow or bam bam bam.

DiScover The Unknown - March 2004: Erase Eratta, The Next Autumn Soundtrack...

If Jenny is to play the guitar will there be no more trumpet action?!? That will be a shame if there isn't.
