Saw 'em do
Lysol and Eggnog.. Pretty fucking special.
Ah, Melvins
HAT isn't in the same league as Senile in a million years..
Possibly the greatest live band in the world at the moment..
Didn't think much of this one at first, but its' definately bit of a grower.. Good review.
Amen all
such a fucking great, great band.. Effortlessly out-fuck the Warlocks, BJM etc.
What's up
Ricky Martin?
New Head of David band?
Fuck, fuck yeah.
She can't even nearly sing
and Sitek is massively overrated.
Last one had it's moments
but I fear this one will be bobbins.
Not a strong Fall lineup to say the least..
'they’ve made as much of a contribution to modern music as Pixies did'
Er, not even nearly.
Oh yeah..
this has serious potential.
'Sine of the Dub'
is one of the most haunting things I've ever heard.. Came out in 2005 though, I think. Stunningly good, mind.
Highlights
Boris, Sunn O))), Julian Cope, John C Clarke, OM...
Aphex Twin 'top of his game'? Disappointment of the weekend.
Certainly the best lineup I've seen at an ATP, though..
That night was so fucking good...
Robert Hood as the house DJ.. More, please.
Such a fucking stunning rock band...
...go buy Pink asap. Utterly glorious from start to finish...
That Sunday lineup..
John Cooper Clarke into Boris into Earth into Sunn o)))? About as good as days get, really.
What about..
...Pissed Jeans, Wooden Shjips?
Stunning record
....the red 7" they put out year is also well worth a look.. Psychey as fuck..
Album of the year thus far
See you there..
Oh fuck yeah!
Copey and the Aphex Twin as the first two names on the bill is almost impossible to top.
As long as they don't make the Twin play on that fucking stupid big stage next to Burger King - imagine how lame that would be..
Mainstream indie music becoming 'homogenised' is hardly a new thing
It's happened before and it will happen again.
Even so, I look forward greatly to sitting back and watching with immense joy watching the cruel demise of the likes of Boy Kill Boy etc.
They were rather poor I'm afraid when I saw 'em recently...
....blown clean off the stage by the mighty Jesu.
Fucking ridiculous
What a waste.
Anyone know when the demolition starts? The Fall are meant to be on there 1 April..
A dubsteppy year..

Superb little band
Mummy You're Not Watching Me is possibly the best example of Syddish psychedelic post punk about.
Sadly, Mr Treacy is a bit of a headcase these days, and the chances of him ever reaching those dizzy heights again are slimming fast. Bet he's got a few interesting stories, mind.
Lovely remastered version of '409 In Your Coffeemaker'
More Replacements than their current foul output, and thus more agreeable.
Cope = rock supergod
Brusma - go fuck y'self.
Thank you, the Observer..
'Boyband version of the Levellers' works for me.
Sundet by Guther
Record of the month, hands down.
Me and my girl.. Out on the ice...
Me and my girl... Sealclubbing...
The Fall
50,000 Fall Fans Can't Be Wrong.
I suppose the Peel Sesh collection doesn't count?
The Bury St Edmunds gig..
...is at Studio 3, by the way.
Please get...
..The Icarus Line back over here. One of Satan's very own.
Marquis Cha Cha! Pure Groove record shop starts own label. Launch party imminent.
One of the lost Fall greats.
Great name for a label, too..
Neils Children - Always The Same
Re: The Fall
The Fall
It was certainly a strange gig, it's almost as though they've been building up to it since the plaudits began trickling through for this new lineup a couple of years ago, and I really don't think they disappointed. There was clearly a lot of pressure on the gruppe, their late entry increased this so, but that version of 'What About Us?'... Good lord.
Also, what sort of rabid cocksucker pays £20-odd to see a band with a reputation for poor timekeeping, then chuck cans at them 'cause they're onstage late. Degenerate scum, the lot of you.
