YES
can't wait for the barbican show. still very curious to see if they dress up the Britten orchestra in pointy hats :D
lovely review
chilling lyrics too
can't freakin wait for that barbican show
do you reckon they'll get the Britten orchestra to dress up in pointy hats and all too?
nice review phil
made me want to check out Sleep, and older Om, so i guess thats a success?
Album is 'The Resistance'
And I grew up in a village over the hill from Teignmouth (Stokeingteignhead). Havent seen Muse in a while but they have been one of my favourite bands since I have had favourite bands. Also my oldest and best friend still lives there and is also a big Muse fan, and it would be amazing to go back home and see them with him - especially on the seafront in Teignmouth!
nice review Mike
but Glass Handed Kites was 2005, not 2007. just in case the beeb actually check these things :P
damnit there are way too many good gigs on the 28th
and i already have tickets for one (Efterklang). also Los Camp are playing that night, and something else too i'm sure.
if i was stoned right now this would be the best thing ever
still pretty fun mind
someone was claiming it yesterday in your thread.
i think he was 2000th then.
did you ever decide on a present for the 2000th 'follower'?
and how are you planning on telling who the 2000th was? it changes all the time as people between 1-1999 stop following etc
i dont get that justice thing
do they have a copyright on the crucifix shape???
so i can get one in large OR extra-large?
metal fans eh?
Can i wear a band t-shirt while i am unemployed at home?
like i do EVERY DAY
the 65 remix is BOSS
21 minutes of joy
quids in
well deserved too. definitely one of my favourites of this year
oh?
intriguing
i thought they had several paid staff before the BSkyB thing
so no, it didn't occur to me
yeah i had no idea this meant any redundancies
i would happily have ads thrown at me left right and centre if the people that make this site what it is could continue doing what they do so well
hmmm - good?
does this mean the adverts will be less annoying, or are they staying?
and King Adora to paedophiles?
I love JoFo :D
:( i'm not going to be around for this
but then i never really got all the pant-creaming over No Age and TNV anyway.
Obligatory Outrage Post
What? No Los Camp!? Thats probably my favourite british album released this year. Also Youthmovies, but then maybe you can't include them?
yeah i agree
hence why i thought you could promote redjetson to 'headline' status. not that it makes much difference i suppose at rota what time you are on.
you should let redjetson 'headline' the DiScover show
seeing as how it is their last and all
saw them live recently
and i was gobsmacked how much of a rip-off some of their songs were. they were still pretty decent, but a few were just daylight robbery pure and simple.

i didn't mind paying £9 or whatever, but to then do this? its fucking over the real fans who bought tickets in advance and rewarding those who sat on the fence and didn't really want to go in the first place.
:( whats all this about cheap london tickets?
i just bought about 10 at £9 each from ticketweb for me and my coursemates who are all coming down. fuck.
Dear Drowned in Sound,
I have tried cutting this out and 'keeping it' several times now on various computers at work, but every time the glass on the monitor just shatters and my colleages are getting increasingly frustrated at me. Please can you offer more precise directions on how we may 'cut this out' and therefore 'keep it'.
Thanks,
Frustrated, London.
where are the smash hits?
its no 'Slam Dunk Tha Funk' - thats for sure.
I don't get why these guys called themselves 5ive - it was a shitty name to begin with and has horrible connotations...
well yeah obviously
i meant its amazing how few people actually went out and bought it.
i didn't realise the download/physical ratio was that skewed!
2 things depress me about this more than usual
1) 17 physical singles sales can get you in the top 40!? fuck.
2) Mariah Carey's new album could well mean that more people will associate E=mc^2 with her than Einstein. :(
madonna confuses me
isn't she like 60 or something now?
well i think 4/10 is very harsh
but it isn't as good as anything else he's done probably.
there are still some really good songs on here, and Long Live The Queen is (even though i have no idea who his friend 'Lex' was) really sweet and honest.
that said i do wish he would just reform Million Dead...
ow
my brain hurts
*next up to the DiSband block?
good interview. i like this feature - its nice to see bands try and defend themselves and justify their music! even if it is just a bit of fun.
ok its 1-3 august in Chicago
does it not tour any more? i thought that was its 'thing'? you know- like homerpalooza...
i actually think i will go to this. fuck it. its only $190, and i didn't get tickets for glastonbury or readuing thinking i would holdout for something better. is this it? YES!
^ this
when and where is lollapalooza? i am thinking that could be a part of an awesome holiday in america...
wow
lovely man. and clearly better than everyone else on the plant. also: i heard he invented sliced bread "I was there at the beginning, man! i was slicing bread before Hovis even existed! Fucking Hovis stole my idea. You should all be thanking me..>"
yeah but thats hardly a full headline tour is it?
a couple of dates in europe, then 4/5 dates in england?
plus i can't make that ICA show (as much as i want to...) :(
Toby Prudden
i was going to go to this anyway. assuming i don't win does anyone know if there are usually tickets on the door? i've never been to a fabric/aitbf event before
also: seeing as the main reason i'm going is to see youthmovies, are they going to be doing a headline tour any time soon? and i can't make the ICA show either :(
really good gig
can't wait to hear the new album. anyone know when its out?
how in hell
is anyone going to make a festival of that size 'carbon neutral'?
what a ridiculous idea...
yes excellent
