Verticaly ascending plane with drums, wonderful.
Thanks guys
He most certainly is "cock in hand" check out my gallery on www.photosinthedark.com for more, including playing a guitar with cock and some black lip on lip snogging.
We'll battle this out over a pint
next week when we're there :-)
sun and sunn will cure all.
But a festival review needs photos with the words, and 50+ photos would be somewhat overkill for festival review no?
http://drownedinsound.com/in_depth/3439094 last years, 14 photos and lots of reading. perfect.
Well
I've now looked through all the photos ;-) fantastic.
But I do agree on the In Photos design, I think letting a page load up with images works better.

Seems like a pretty great idea, the recordings sound good and they're slowly getting some good shows recorded. The chat thing whilst watching live is good too, if not exactly highbrow. Lovvers were pretty rocking for that show, shame the audience were less so. Someone rig up a decent camera in the Old Blue Last.
Cheers Mr Eyes, Guntrip
I really enjoyed it, not quite sure what 07/08 by numbers means, but I can confirm all possible earthly pleasures were cunningly woven into one Nottingham house. Human hair were so good, a decent recording/video was made and will hopefully surface soon! I think more parties are planned for 09, i'm sure they'll be totally 2009.
They didn't play "Apple Or A Gun"
It was supposed to be the encore, but someone put the DJ's on, horrifying.
He made a claim about being the fattest cover star of NME
Beth Ditto was mentioned, but he declared himself fatter.
*Visible*
I have got a few shots of the rest of the band, but they look pretty dull in comparison.
Spectacular shots Gary
I love a white ceiling for bounce flash, you've caught some excellent moments!
I recommend
For those with webspace XSPF players.

Your photos don't accompany your Mogwai review.. why?
Speaking of reading what you write
Whereas most music photographers will talk in clichés about endeavouring to capture “The Moment” – which generally relates to tired rock-star action poses – Justin’s photography seeks something closer to “The Anti-Moment”; an instance of simple elegance and breathtaking beauty, a single, fleeting point in time where the subject is caught in a period of stillness and reflection, isolated from the audience and the stage.
Owen Richards
Also started somewhere.
Ears
Are not in a pleasant state. Big Business were brutal.
Well
One could have an abundance of short songs on an album, but I think he was really referring to an abundance of "power and veracity"
I agree
This review fails to explain the key point. They've moved on sound wise; much more accessible and catchy whilst maintaining the structural and rhythm style.
Says nothing about biffy crowds ;-)
I think this record works admirably; it doesn’t try to capture their live freneticism but does have the vitality and songcraft.
Superb photos Gary
Clean and clear, some great energy too.
Sorted my dear
Luby Prinston, no more confusion.
Could've sworn it was mine
But I had to check to make sure. Impossible to get a decent shot of these guys.
James
Alright bud, I saw your glasgow shots, they're great.. I like the outside shots too, what a lovely audience.
It was awesome this show

They banned
Photographers during their set! which was pretty rubbish. Also Grinderman was too good to miss to miss out on!
Very kind!
There will be some Butthole surfers pictures up later today.
For my part in the photos
Thanks! There are more on my site,
Really superb festival, highly recommend it.
I thought they were
terrible, valuing technique rather than song craft. ghastly.
Thats
why I should've been there on back up photos. Cattle prod in hand. Occasionally she takes a sip of water, good moment to strike.
Gary
Your doing a great job, looking forward to seeing them fullsize soon!
Wish I was there, I really will have to get a long lens one of these days.
Ha, were all to old for that kind of thing
No that was at the Portishead one. I've not taken any proper photos at festivals this year. Unable to aford a long lens for the larger ones, probably be doing supersonic tho.
New website..
Nice photos Lucy
Did they inforce the no standing rule? We were forced to sit whilst taking photos... security scum!
So far
Lovvers and Noah & The Whale are excellent. We'll see what else gets thrown up.
If this runs as well as last year
It's going to be superb.
jenny saville
Does it better. The Manics got their first.
They confirmed mine
So i'm doomed to pay. At least I caught the cheap deal..
Listen to Alligator Fuckhouse from The Night Of Long Knives, it's a crystal castles with teeth (or knives I suppose)
Awesome
Listening through Gay Death Probe, pretty awesome site all round.
You can get albums in Flac, VBR V0 MP3 and Ogg, might have to make a paypal; (I spent whole day sorting those fuckers out to pay for primavera)

As alway Gary,
I'm still not convinced by the photoviewer. It just takes too long to look through.
