I really do love these guys, and am so happy they got round to releasing an album (eventually).

PS - You can totally hear me sing on the end of 'he films the clouds 2' - FACT.

I've had this album for a while now, and I must admit on the first few listens I did find the listening a bit tough - mainly because it is very, very honest. It's always awkward to listen to people talk about their personal losses and tragedies in love, life, ire whatever - so clearly its hard when they're in song format.

But I pressed on listening, and now really like the album. I have been a massive Million Dead fan for years and as I result I was very sceptical about Frank's decision to go solo. But, camp fire won me over. Sleep is of the week won me over and LIS has won me over. In it's entirety I think this is a well crafted, honest and actually quite humbling album made by someone who is clearly in their element. Just my opinion.

I would also say, that I do not think that Frank is overrated - far from it. He is excellent at what he does and anyone who has seen him live will stand testament to this.

I really like this EP, but much as I do it just doesn't capture how mammoth they are live.

I think Frank Turner's new album could push him into the mainstream next year, he's got a horde of fans already plus his new single is a barber shop quartet with the already established Halloways. I also think that the big 'female singer song writer' will be Florence and the Machine. Foals will be big(ger) and I can see lets wrestle push though too. Also look out for Kid Acne and indie band, the displacments.

Even since I first saw them (possibly over 2 years ago) they have just astounded me every single show. Every new song has been flawless and always note perfect live. Ridicoulously good band.

I'm from Coleraine too. Yep, facts galore today.

...being in a band is expensive - paying for petrol, recording, releasing, touring and all the other crap. We, nor our label can afford to put a lot into paying for a designer so we opted to try this approach. As someone mentioned earlier, it could be a good opportunity for someone. An artist, young designer might jump at the the chance to have their work pressed and put on the front of a record. I would.

Also lets not forget, free album and t-shirt! ;-)

We plays with these guys last week - and they are absolute gentlemen. Really good band, and a great album. Live they really reminded me of Dinsosaur jr. Good stuff.
