nice review
agree with the evolution in their sound.
i remember seeing them support the stills at the garage a while back. they seem to have progessed more gradually, and i guess organically, than the headliners. the stills' second record was ok but a bit jarring for someone that really liked their debut album.
agreed
i was crying into my kriek after missing vampire weekend but they pretty much made up for it
me three
.
what a douche
tpc piss on most of the dross that you apparently rate.
"crystal castles: 8"
but then you're 20 years old and you live in hackney so you're probably just upset that the ugly boys in this band are getting more alternative tween gash than you.
i have aspergers
so change is decidedly worse than a poke in the eye.
1. this album is a mess. not a total car crash but several of the songs are awful
2. it would be great if they kept making 'at dawn'
3. i have no answer to three. i really should loosen up
holy god
i just heard it and it is dire
gay if the 5th album sounds like z
i prefer at dawn and it still moves. i also like band of horses and fleet foxes so there is definitely a pattern here.
amen
to that. we are winners.
you sound like the human equivalent
of helvetica.
hummingbird is ace; nothing less than an inspired choice by the orange ad guys.
i saw born ruffians at scala supporting caribou last week and they were almost as good as the main event. which is impressive because caribou were magnificent.
good shout
Phosphorescent is wicked. Wolves is a standout track.
And the Bon Iver record is amazing, emo or no.
