agree with the evolution in their sound.

i remember seeing them support the stills at the garage a while back. they seem to have progessed more gradually, and i guess organically, than the headliners. the stills' second record was ok but a bit jarring for someone that really liked their debut album.

1. this album is a mess. not a total car crash but several of the songs are awful

i just heard it and it is dire

i prefer at dawn and it still moves. i also like band of horses and fleet foxes so there is definitely a pattern here.

hummingbird is ace; nothing less than an inspired choice by the orange ad guys.

i saw born ruffians at scala supporting caribou last week and they were almost as good as the main event. which is impressive because caribou were magnificent.

Phosphorescent is wicked. Wolves is a standout track.

And the Bon Iver record is amazing, emo or no.
