That Number is indeed a cracker

And its a fair bet you saw Plugs supporting Noisettes in 2005 - I've seen them a few times since 2006 - before Morgan joined Does It Offend You Yeah - and their sound is very difficult to pin down, shifts and judders like a shifty, juddery thing. Usually good fun live.

Yeah, people just like to make a comparison

And in the Thunderdome of indie music, too often only one band can leave. Which should be Ra Ra Riot, who are lush. But Vampire Weekend DO seem to be getting a disproportionate slagging of late.

Sad sad sad

As Manish and JGJug pointed out, this had developed a good crowd and atmosphere. I thought a few festivals that seem to have sprung from nowhere to take advantage of the "UK festival market" this year might fold, but that Tapestry was becoming a regular thing for a lot of people. Did they try and sell a lot more tickets this year? Raise the price significantly?

Pre-tty good...

...he is in town around then.

ah, but...

The Big Ask was originally a UK-only campaign. This is a separate campaign to try and achieve the same in these 17 EU member countries.

Size 11 please...

...then I can run to the hills in them...

Sorry.

Depends

If the owners are planning to remodel the space, then they might need to apply for planning permission, which you can object to through the council. Otherwise a petition can be organised to appeal to the developer directly. Sadly, I don't know how much impact that would have - land in central London is so valuable that it costs nothing, virtually, to knock down an existing building and put a new one up in its place that's more likely to accrue value, which is the developers' bottom line.

Found out the Hatcham Social Club is up for sale last week as a 'development opportunity'. Fuck.
