But it's just not something I feel the need to use as much now. Still listen to the John Fahey stuff though.

Now it just seems a bit novelty, the idea of having a big library of music readily available for you to listen to whenever you want. In hindsight it's not as great as I initially thought, it lacks the social interaction of last.fm (apart from the collaborative playlists which I REALLY like), you can't see what other users are listening to and unlike last.fm and myspace it's not really a gateway for checking out new bands.

Olly Sykes knocked out some woman and got arrested or something. Not sure if there's any truth to this though.

I used to like them, then the album came out and it was a bit rubbish. I can't see them making many good albums. They'll eventually disappear, which is a shame because they're more interesting than most bands who are on the same level of success as them.

Where? I remember the 'waaaa no one likes CC!' thread a while back. I don't like them as people but think their music is good in places.

I know a fair few people on DiS who like their music, including me.

and you are certainly right on their sound, I think comparing them to Joy Division would tarnish Joy Division's legacy!

Then they were Baka, and now they're Drum Eyes. The band at the moment is Scotch Egg, Liam from Trencher and Eda from Boredoms. Sweet.

But for the most of the album it's quite different to what he usually does. I'd say it has more in common with 'Scotchausen'.

All you're doing is confirming everyone's point that the organisers did not give one shit about anything that's important to making a successful festival. You need a good kick in the nuts.

The negative statements that have flooded message boards across teh internetz all seem to be first hand accounts of what actually happened, from performers and punters alike. I'm with the majority on this one. And it sounds like NO hard work was done by the organisers, hence the mess they're probably in now.

Field Day had teething problems (long queues for the bar, shoddy sound on the mainstage). Zoo Festival just sounds like an absolute fucking nightmare. This sounds more like a cavity than a teething problem.

I expect most of the gooduns pulled out though.

I hope they get some sort of refund.

Based on the line up this is the best U.K festival this year.

They're fucked, basically.

The tickets are never going to be used now, so I don't see why they have to be returned by tomorrow.

And while you're at it blame her for the poor organisation on Renaissance's behalf. The festival circuit is dying, get over it.

I'd be curious to find out why Battles pulled out. Perhaps they have a reason similar to Bjork's?

I just think Sasha is pants. I saw half hour of his set at TDK a few years back and it was incredibly dull.
