Vinyl
..and the more vinyl there is makes a happy suedeheadscot.
What a patchy review...
...and sad that the reviewer missed JK Flesh, Hey Colussus, Domsday Student, Drunk In hell, Lichens, Oxbow playing a classic set with an orchestra, and Goat. The Devilman set was astounding too.
Damn....
...I gave their gigs in Birmingham a miss as they only had one original member. I've been hearing good things about their shows and now kicking myself....
The Antlers
Burst apart
The Necro deathmort album....
Music of Bleak Origin.
You forgot...
..the Low album
Murder Ballads
Thank you!
This is so sad....
I saw the Slits on the last tour and liked them immensely. Ari Up was a fantastic lead for the Slits - and they are such and undderated band. RIP Ari.
^
This
This review is fucked up.....
..and no, I don't mean the band. For god's sake, give the album another listen and make amends while there is still time. And its a lot better than Awoo.
I thought his tune would be....
...Nick Cave, "Nick the Stripper".
Any others?
This is looking good now!
I just have to find out what Mum are like..
Th' Faith Healers
Now!!
Asian Dub Foundation
Community Education. Saw them at a festival with both Primal Scream and Asian dub foundation - fucking wonderful. Both bands were at their prime *sigh*....
I think super furry animals were pretty shit-hot at that point too, but my memory's fuzzy...or furry...
^
Just heard this album today and immediately thought of Jesus Lizard. Think this abum is great!
I saw the film last week and remember
thinking My god, that soundtrack was good. I'm shocked its the same Clint Mansel - used to love PWEI.
I kinda miss clint #1. Can PWEI come back?
Please play Birmingham
Its not that bad. Honest.
This is a pity....
...especially as the Supersonic gig was fucking superb!! Still going to give the CD a go, though.
Bloody hell!
The lead singer's fit!!
so if you try to find a venue you'd play? Did you try the capsule promotors to see if they coud help out? The Hare and Hounds?
Rainbow? Its just noise promotors??? The Victoria Bar? C'mon....you can play at my house if needs be!
You missed out Birmingham
Where's the date for that?
Oh look ...
...its the festival that everyone would have preferred to have gone to had they not bought MBV tickets. Bastards
(Aye, I'm still bealin').
Anyone want to swap this with...
...a ticket for the MBV ATP?
Was it just me or....
...could this band never play live?
Live through this is such a fucking underrated album though. I just wish there was some other output to match it.

Why AIDS, murkey? Thats just pathetic. A number of my friends are HIV+ and its not a laughing matter.
I don't get this.....
...Spiritualised were amazing!!
And...who was the fuckwit who put Marnie Stern on at 11pm and then printed posters in Reds saying she was on at 12am???? I missed 20 mins of her set!
Ach you muppets!
House of Love: Destroy the Heart
Moose (oh has everyone forgotten them???) : Suzanne
Telescopes: Suzanne
Chapterhouse: Breather (which is so good it should've been made the national anthem)
Ride: Dreams burn down
I still wholeheartedly believe....
...that their talent died after Nurse, and they became just another metal band. They'll never match anything like "Potato Junkie"or the first two mini-albums...when they toured with Silverfish....*gets misty-eyed....sigh*
^
You ain't seen 'em live then. Saw them supporting Deerhunter and they were pretty damn good.
This is weird....
I was having this conversation with a mate the other day. Apparently all the art that comes out of San Franscisco is shite because everyone there is so happy!!! (He's well into art). To which I commented thats why Glasgow and Manchester have made such great music - there's a high degree of poverty. And thats why all you wannabe music stars out there should gimme your money. Get in contact for the bank details.
Erm....
how come I can't watch it now? It says its offline!
There's a Merrit re-release going to happen now...
"I don't want to get over shoe". Arf...*thus sparking off a range of puns...
And I only found out about the gig through their website emailing system...
...two days AFTER the london gig! The fuckers!!!! WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME? DIS you're all sacked!!
A) Yes
Love you!!!
Weird....
...I just can't place who this band sounds like. Talk Talk maybe....
whats the civic hall like..?
and is it within commuting distance from Birmingham?
Every year at the one ATP I get to...
..I always get drunk on the Friday, and spend Saturday being unable to move thanks to being sick that I always miss the first band.
And I did it again at Explosions ATP, missing World's End Girlfriend.
You'd think I'd learn, wouldn't you?
Fuck no.
Also lost it on acid one time during the Orb's set at Glastobury one year, not realising that a bright wonderful light in the audience was actually a tv camera filming me. Oops.
its catchy.
But Primal Scream have been on a downhill run ever since Xtrmntr - they jumped the shark at that point.
A)
The Past is A Grotesque Animal.
I'd even come down from Scotland for this, as I keep missing Les Savy Flav and everyone keeps telling me how great they are live *sighs*
OK GUYS!
I've only got Scream Dracula Scream. What RFTC/DLJ/whatever album should I listen to....next?
"Touch me I'm sick"
one of the best ever songs to dance to. Fact. *considers thread subject
Oy DiS!!
Can you no arrange a tour with a band and this guy? I love his work and would kill to see Phosphorescent work with a band, but can't make it down to London.
THEY'RE ALL WRONG!!! ITS...
....Pete Kember who is also called Sonic Boom!!!
And I saw him in Spectrum in 1992. *Suedeheadscot trumps other DiSsers*
yay!!
But I didn't realise it was their 3rd album...
I've only got Remember the Night Parties...
Recommendations for other ones?
and why the fuck...
..is there no Glasgow date?
Anyone wanna put me up in Manchester for the night? Room with double bed in Glasgow for swaps if you ever come visit.
Damn!
I was thinking Pop Will Eat Itself were actually involved at some point...*sighs* Ok DiSsers stop laughing!
