just what i was thinking. may as well have stopped there.
24 uses of the word 'punk' in this review. we get it.
Veronica Falls and Betty and the Werewolves are two of the best bands to come out of london in a while.
they work better when it's just a collection of hard-hitters, rather than badly produced, "epic" concept bullshit like the last full-length.
cannot wait for the leeds show.
despite really looking forward to them.
but i'm not sure i could stomach an album of it if the songs are all just voice and acoustic guitar.
gutted, seeing them on sunday.
love the photo's of campbell.
and why do websites/magazines keep doing this?
19. Los Campesinos! Hold On Now, Youngster (Review) / We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed (Review)
they're two seperate records. they were released months apart. just pick your favourite of the two and stop copping out.
do DiS know the release date yet? it's been recorded a while now, i just think wichita had a lot of releases lined up, so it had to wait in line.
for the first time in ages a couple of days ago. still amazing.
No Parts Vampire Weekend
"It feels, in places, a bit like Deerhoof-by-numbers"
took the words right out of my mouth. a 7 or 8/10 is definately right. not a fantastic album, but solid
i probably built it up too much
90% of the being underwhelmed was shit sound rather than the bands though
glad im choosing lovvers in a tiny, sweaty room above a pub over foals & danana in an aircraft hanger.
tnv in crash will be amazing!
downstairs is probably bigger.
it feels like i've been listening to it for a very long time.
i've heard those lovvers and sky larkin tracks. i was hoping for something new.
if destroyed, still true
Sky Larkin for Wichita Recordings forever.
i like Sky Larkin, i'm looking forward to the album quite a lot now.
delete my comment and make corrections like it NEVER HAPPENED.
i can't wait to play *that* riff in everlasting gaze.
the 4 or 5 songs ive heard from this EP are GR8!
are so good
shame the record isn't out til '09 though.
which makes it 1000x better.
of infinity milk at leeds, so hardly first time.
i've bought it and not listened yet because i'm scared.
or Dirty Otters (promoters) myspace.
are playing the leeds date anymore.
i'm sure they pulled out not long after it was booked.
shame, the idea of johnny foreigner and grammatics would have probably made me sit through tubelord and blakfish.
a while back.
they're great, but nothing on TAV in my opinion.
got a few of the this aint vegas boys on it?
what a hero. who actually looks for that kind of info?
watching the most amazing AC/DC DVD.
it was 3 discs, and the whole first disc was Bon Scott (obvz the best)
it was loads of tv show footage, they were tight as fuck back in the day with scott.
i want Ethan Millers jag.
"we should show this given it's not on youtube, giggle"
when i saw it on youtube uploaded by the label about two weeks before this article.
what date is the single out?
i really like that Text Adventure record after a few listens, good work! very Insignificance in places.
where are you recording your album/who are you recording it with???
2 weeks ago on youtube?
is the BEST!
it's on Boxer
i'm such a twat.
a new tune?
don't think i've ever heard that, and i'm pretty sure i've got all their records.
do you have any t-shirts that can be ordered online or anything at the moment?
play some final shows, with the nearest being about 600 miles away from me.
