brillo

excellent news!

<3

I love Why?

i

think its brilliant. But I say this as a person who loves most of daft punk's previous albums and have experienced their liveshow, which will go down as one of my gigs of the year, if not ever. The mixes of harder better faster stronger/around the world and superheroes/humanafterall/rock and roll are fantastic. I'm not usually a fan of live albums but I really do think its good.

avec moi

TRUE FACT PT 2

I saw you. I think.

hey

i didn't make it!

its netbound

theres a link next to each song, you can listen to the track from the link.

The Herve track is boss. In fact Herve and Sinden on Saturday in Sheffield were both fucking ace.

it appears

they're re-releasing it. Don't think it came out on full release first time round (12" only in 2006 unless I'm mistaken...)

Woop

They were great at Wireless. Be good to see em again in Sheffo.

I have to say

I prefer Arular to Kala. But M.I.A. is fucking amazing. I really like All My Friends but can't really get into the rest of Sound of Silence. And the Simian Mobile Disco album is superior to Justice's, by a mile.

I'm betting

its Kumquat Mae.

yep

me thinks this wins over the pitchfork one. I'm in.

i wanna go

:(

the manc gig is like well sold out.

absolutely lovely

i heart beirut

that poster

is bloody hard to read!

sheffield gig

is at the red HOUSE. but will be amazing!

yes exactly

they did the same thing at atp.

well

sonic youth didn't play it note for note. although the rubbing the guitar on the amp moments did come across as a bit rehearsed.

i went to latitude for free

as my friend's band was playing. i enjoyed it but most of the bands i'd seen before and the comedy tent was a nightmare to get into half the time. i don't know if i'd be bothered to go again.

crikey

indeed

"I know you’re the big marriage expert. Oh, I’m sorry. I forgot. Your wife is dead."

i went

had a great time! the friends get about 20 mins each and theres no interval. it started about half 8 and finished at 11...

we got josie long who was very sweet. todd barry was very good!

haha!

yes they were quicker on the ball than the bbc news website!

yeah

the matilda was ace. really sad that it got closed. they're not doing anything with it at the moment anyway. a wasted year for a unique "venue".

I last went to gatecrasher when it was still called republic many years ago. my first and last venture there I might add..! just not my thing.

i can see the smoke

from my bedroom window!! its incredible. apparently a staff member dropped a match by accident and a load of "booze residue" caught fire. wouldn't want to be in his shoes when the boss turns up tomorrow...

reason enough

to venture to Fuzztival. That and the fact I'll actually be a student again and not feel like an imposter!

i love how the majority

of their myspace comments are spam on how to enlarge your penis or where to buy ringtones.

hang on

battles are playing corp on the may 17th date. does this mean foals are supporting?

woop

am hoping to catch them on the sheffield "leg". should be aces.

about 4 or 5

i'm a little underwhelmed but not writing it off yet! :)

i have to say

i'm thoroughly underwhelmed by the album. i dunno. its nice enough it just doesn't really grab me like Funeral did. perhaps i need to listen more.

and i prefer the original version of no cars go...

amazing amazing news

just missed out on the first lot of sonic youth tickets but now going to see them on the 1st, WOOHOO!

pretty good lineup!

both TAV and Pixel!x3 are fab

oooh ace

loved emmy supporting tilly and the wall, this should be good!

maybe i'm being cynical

but modest mouse playing seems a bit fixed to me. i mean, they were already doing the atp concerts the week after...
saying that, they are good live, and i do like them, so i'm not begrudging them playing or anything!

"expected"

:D :D

i would have imagined its sold out

given that its the last week of term for the students. otherwise i'd try and go. i'm going to see monkey swallows the universe instead i think!

ooh lovely

on me and my other half's 3 year anniversary too!

woop!

time to plan a trip to London me thinks :D

excellent news

yes.

Version 2.0

is one of my favourite albums ever. I don't think it sounds dated!

I've just purchased this

:D

a fab review

for an AMAZING ALBUM. its absolutely stunning.

I really enjoyed Comanechi

I thought they were like DFA 1979 meets Deerhoof, or something to that effect. To each their own though.

Beth was amazing to watch! And her voice is stunning. Unfortunately I left half way through due to feeling like shit. Next time!

leeeeeeeeeds

woo! aces.

plus every time the chorus starts

on "you could have both" I want to burst into song! SO its just the spoken word really.

...

just my humble opinion!

everytime giddy stratospheres starts

I'm like ARGH! ITS TOO SLOW!
Thats not to say I don't like it :) Lust in the movies is my pretty much my favourite LB's song so I guess its what I'm used to from before...
