I love Why?

think its brilliant. But I say this as a person who loves most of daft punk's previous albums and have experienced their liveshow, which will go down as one of my gigs of the year, if not ever. The mixes of harder better faster stronger/around the world and superheroes/humanafterall/rock and roll are fantastic. I'm not usually a fan of live albums but I really do think its good.

The Herve track is boss. In fact Herve and Sinden on Saturday in Sheffield were both fucking ace.

they're re-releasing it. Don't think it came out on full release first time round (12" only in 2006 unless I'm mistaken...)

They were great at Wireless. Be good to see em again in Sheffo.

I prefer Arular to Kala. But M.I.A. is fucking amazing. I really like All My Friends but can't really get into the rest of Sound of Silence. And the Simian Mobile Disco album is superior to Justice's, by a mile.

sonic youth didn't play it note for note. although the rubbing the guitar on the amp moments did come across as a bit rehearsed.

as my friend's band was playing. i enjoyed it but most of the bands i'd seen before and the comedy tent was a nightmare to get into half the time. i don't know if i'd be bothered to go again.

had a great time! the friends get about 20 mins each and theres no interval. it started about half 8 and finished at 11...

i'm thoroughly underwhelmed by the album. i dunno. its nice enough it just doesn't really grab me like Funeral did. perhaps i need to listen more.

but modest mouse playing seems a bit fixed to me. i mean, they were already doing the atp concerts the week after...

I thought they were like DFA 1979 meets Deerhoof, or something to that effect. To each their own though.

Beth was amazing to watch! And her voice is stunning. Unfortunately I left half way through due to feeling like shit. Next time!
