I missed out on what seems like a dozen opportunities to see him live and now I totally regret it. This is really, really sad. RIP.

Actually, a new Fugazi album would but for now at least we can look forward to Joe Lally's solo LP in October.

They/she were/was stunningly excellent and, for all her 'kookiness', she still succeeded in being tangible in the loveliness whilst at the same time being utterly enchanting. And I hardly ever gush about female artists (for some unknown reason).

Not that I liked Helmet that much anyway. I just imagine once you've had John, and you lose him, what are you? Not as good as you were, that's for sure.

What a goddamn hero! I got to meet him after and told him bashfully that he was one of my favourite drummers and he was really pleased! He said there's a new Trans Am album almost ready too and that they'd be touring over in spring!

I quite liked Dead Kids in places. There were moments of real sleazy, ballsy sex-funk punk. Which was nice.

and foolishly bought their debut a while back. This makes up for those forever lost pounds and makes me feel less angry about CocoRosie in general. It is fantastically eerie and dense and wends so sort of oozing journey when headphoned. I love it.

Accessible and unabashed indie pop but GOT accessible and unabased indie pop.
