I hate EMI.
I sugggest a boycott. I will no longer illegally download their artists music until this is resolved.
Best 2007 album
to win a 2008 poll ever!
I enjoyed
Shearwater more than i thought i would, but it was still all about The Constantines for me.
Stuuuuuuuuuuuf
Indeed!
Yes,
Great stuuf, well deserved!
It has increased
to 5 days. Not my sort of thing, but still good value for what's on.
I'll stick to Primavera.
I was so drunk at this show
after watching England go out to Portugal in Euro 2004. I remember the band coming on just as the last penalty kick went in.
!!!
Chk Chk Chk'n Burger
Nice to see them
get auch a great review. I love this album. Easily a 9 from me. They'll win over a lot of people supporting Bon Iver in Sept.
I'm not
really feeling the new album. Maybe it's a grower, as i love the first two.
Is it going
to be an all day thing, or just evenings? (IE - do i need to book the days off work).
A) cLOUDEAD
I reckon.
There must be
at least 30 or so albums better than Foals that have been released this year (possibly even this month).
If it is the real deal,
it's the worst deal ever.
Wanted to see them
while i was in NYC at the weekend, but ended up out of town.
It's not as catchy
as a lesson in crime, but it's still a damn fine album.
Zune...
..shake,shake,shake the room.
I wasn't overly
keen on this when i first heard it, but it's definitely a grower.
Somebody
wasn't up early enough to see Bon Iver then? Phenomenal set.
I'll be in New York,
so that makes it a bit difficult. I don't miss shows for any old reason, you know. My spares have (obviously) been snapped up already.
I have 2 spare
for ULU, as i can't make it.
Peeping Tom
are supporting.
It's about time
they did some UK shows.
I will be there
for the 5th year running. I caught the last of the 02 shows last year. It was rather epic. In spite of this, i am more excited about seeing Redd Kross.
The new album is good.
They seem to have improved a lot since growing pubes.
I enjoyed it too..
..but this may have been due to the amount of double vodkas i consumed that evening.
He's actually
one of the nicest, most sound blokes you could ever hope to meet. That's why he will fail.
Confirmed for same day
are Underworld and Bootsy Collins
I was there to see The Mae Shi
but had to leave before they came on due to not fancying the £50 cab fare home.
I'll stick to
Oh No!Oh My!
Fuck Buttons
finished their set early because neither one could hear what the other was doing.
This is truly the worst review i have ever read on here.
Where are Seventeen Evergreen?
I'm just wondering.
Band Of Horses and Menomena probably will be in my top 5 as well.
London
He's streaking towards goal. Bacon the net. Too many rashers.
Shame the vocals
are so shit live. Not just bad, but out of tune too. Ian Brown would be proud.
the 3 nights
at Shepherds Bush Empire this year bother me.
Does anyone actually
still read this yawnfest?
Why couldn't it be
Rick Witter?
I wanna live..
...like common people.
The Voxtrot
rescheduled clash doesn't seem so bad now.
Saw it on 120 minutes
a few weeks ago and immediately thought of the Weddos too.
Amazing
I have tickets for other gigs on all 3 London nights (Los Campesinos!, Asobi Seksu and The National!)
What are the chances!!
Live they score..
...at least a 9.
I'd probably give the same to the album. In my top 5 for 2007.
Mine would go..
...above my collection of stuffed Puffins.
Like them live...
...but the album is over-produced dirge. Judging by their Field Day performance, the live side is slipping too. When did the singer become such a wanker?
Possible Album Of The Year
I love this album, but was shocked at the tiny audiences at their London shows earlier in the year. Essential listening.
also listed on Seetickets
as Broken Social Scene
Koko gig > Astoria Gig
...as it was the first time in the UK with the full line-up.
