While I heard some MM influence, mostly in some vocal inflections, I don't think they rip off anyone. Like "Lonesome Crowded West", it reminds of listening to albums like, "Slanted and Enchanted", "Funeral" or "Surfer Rosa". It's an album that on first listen doesn't make complete sense, but intrigues me enough to listen again...and again...and again. And with each listen you begin deciphering all the little details that make the album quite remarkable.

By the way, I notice you gave a "10" rating to the band Creed. If I knew that before I wrote this, I probably wouldn't have even given your comment a 2nd thought.

The songs on their MySpace remind me of the first time I listened to "Lonesome Crowded West". It's quite good. I like bands that push the boundaries a bit...
