bring back Carlton..
...that guy could cut some sweet shapes!
Mon the old Biffy away with the new
I'm a rather big fan of Biffy. I've seen them live many times when they were touring on the back end of their 1st album (Blackened Sky). They were awesome along with their 2nd album (The Vertigo Of Bliss) and unfortunately their 3rd album (Infinity Land) didn't quite cut it like their first two.
I've heard both their new tunes and am really disappointed. I ordered the new album yesterday and I know it's going to be pretty pap but I still had to buy it! Kinda like MJ's 4th (Epic) release 'Dangerous'.
Really unique
This album is really unique and stands out from a lot of releases this year. The rhythm section plays a strong part in creating the sound. And the 'ohs' from track two, 'Anti-Anti' will be swirling round your head for weeks! Buy it now.
I won't be buying it
Saw these guys support the amazing Snowden at the Metro a few weeks back. If it sounds anything like their live show it will be a poor splurge of eight notes and annoying vocals. Not sure how at any point This Et Al can be compared to Muse.
Saw them at 93FeetEast
Saw The KBC at 93 Feet East a while back. They were great. If you've not heard them before check them out now.

Writing music is like washing knickers..
....apparantly, according to Shakira! I believe she once said, "You just do what you have to do. I have to wash my underwear and I had to write these lyrics."
MySpace stole my Hamster..
...er not really....
I agree with TheoGB. I primarily use MySpace (Music) as a means to discover new and old music. Point well made earlier on about bands missing out on royalties whilst evil Murdoch cashes in.
However, since discovering MySpace last March I have bought more CD's and downloaded (via iTunes) stacks more music than I would've done via traditional ways of discovering music.
I play in a band and appreciate the fact you've got to put back into the industry what you can take out for free.
Unfortunately though I think I'm of the minority who hold this altruistic approach to the music industry.
