i'd also say they haven't got the token 'one for the oldies' headliner like normal that gets the dads in (the who, mccartney, bowie etc). i think that was a mistake....
more to the point
how the fuck did that take 18 months. its shit.
thats meant to say
am i?
i'm i the only one..
that think this down to the verve and kings of leon being utter utter shite choices of headliner?
IMO i dont even think they're big enough to headline somewhere like V, let alone glastonbury....
Jay Z would have been an inspired choice if it was exclusive. although not completely sure he should have been headlining, not unless he get some celebrity mates on board (nas, kayne, beyonce etc)...be a real shitter if he pulled out though.
i live in liverpool..
and think this is funny as fuck.
i kinda think the ill feeling towards the guy is more to do with his cynical attempt to cash in on the 08 stuff with that shit song, rather than anything he's actually said...but i think it's more of a collective joke, than any actual anger or anything...
then again, i don't actually read any local papers, or listen to any local radio, so my summary of local opinion might be completely off the mark.
the old guy...
who plays the accordian, and sometime the violin on bold street is the man. he pisses royally over all of this lot.
have to say i disagree on this...
i live in liverpool, and have pretty much always found that unless its quirky NME freindly indie, or cliched old school punk/hardcore you're after then there's really not much else going on....
its a fucking great city tho. easily the best night out in the UK IMO.
Bubblin' hot
"like a soup in a pot, we are what?"
gallows..
..if anything are the new NCF, not the other way around...
only not really, cos they sound different.
big up lakes....they have a split with zettasaur out on monday, on us. it kills.
get it here.
you will think
our next release is shit. BUT i just got the lakes/zettasaur split in the post today. oh yes....
its...
kinda true...
everytime hard fi so much as blow their nose, you're on it as fast a shot, just so you can make yourselves feel a notch less jealous that they are selling shitloads of records, by having a few digs. 'they is rubbish, idiots who like them is rubbish....etc etc.....lets kill the oiks.........everyone should like alternative music.......yadda yadda' am i the only one who finds it, y'knw, a touch boring?
still, each to their own....
trust me...
its is
i love hard fi...
if only for teh fact they piss you lot off....a talent in itself...
you...
are silly
fuck that...
come and get some rock at ROTA.
i may
come down for this mike. we're doing a zettasaur/lakes split, plus i bloody love NCF....
i am...
probably the least elitest person you will ever meet. hence why im happy to go to a festival that has about 2 bands i actually want to see, i'll still wonder around and watch stuff. it's just that most, nay, pretty much all of the heavy bands i like wouldn't (or didnt this year) get on the download bill......for me download pretty much represents the shit cliched commercial side of metal/punk/hardcore (basically nearly every band listed above by gingerninja)
but whatever......that's not to say i'm against that as such, its just not MY personal taste........
yeah...
i probably should have. what can i say....
is this...
the one that sounds like the fratellis?
well
a) they're not straight edge
b) they sound nothing like a straight edge band
c) they dont even play that song anymore do they?
you should check out 'dungeness'. best british hardcore album in AGES. totally underrated band.

brilliantly has just been on the local news. gordon burns was clearly highly amused by the whole thing...
