My tiger my timing
Arthur russell referencing band names are all good.

ditto, amongst the best festival lineups i've ever seen, let alone been to.

cor! you mentalist.
I need a job.
Double Leopards playing makes it neccessary
Signing
They have it on alot of the sky music channels after about 3am (when deaf people wake up apparently). The best part of this discovery was watching the signing woman play air guitar and rock out on an imaginary drum kit during the instrumental section of Meatloaf's I'd Do Anything For Love. They also have to put their fingers to their lips at every swear word. Needless to say when Dr Dre was on this became rather complex.
Gods
Surely it was Dionysus who was the god of music and alcohol?
Mono - New York Soundtracks
Bleh, Mono are amazing when they stick to the massive buildups and cathartic noise shit but they're the epitome of generic post rock, even live their quieter melodic sections just seemed totally banal compared to Mogwai, Maserati, or even Explosions to list the other more predictable proponents of the genre.
65*daysofstatic - The Fall Of Math
Fuck me, I need this.
Plus, they're touring soon, yay.

Re: Moby - MKLVFKWR
But you can't really say the same about Moby's worst album?
Re: Yellowcard - Ocean Avenue
Cursive used cello
Re: Yellowcard - Ocean Avenue
Well, I can think of a fair few bands off the top of my head I listen to that regularly use violin:
Godspeed You! Black Emperor
A Silver Mt. Zion
Hangedup
Set Fire To Flames
Noxagt
Mono
Sigur Ros
Hope of the states
Even sodding Coldplay use string arrangments, and what about classical music?
