i think you mean 'Dark Night of the Soul'

not 'Dark Was the Night'...

they were pretty ace

supporting Rolo Tomassi a few weeks ago. Engine Rooms in Brighton, good gig.

Ace Bushy Striptease!

Hooray!

winnebago

deal

agree

excited.

frikkin awesome

that is all

much love

for the keyboard choir

i am massively looking foreward to this

BJM! Buck 65, Josh T Pearson, iLiKETRAiNS, Stornoway, Frank Turner, Youthmovies, Future of the Left, Keyboard Choir, Winnebago Deal, Jonquil, Napoleon 3rd, Thomas Truax.

looks like an awesome lineup to me.

cant wait.

oh

ive always just known them as the pavillion gardens.

they have that big tent thing there in the brighton festival sometimes dont they.

yeah itll be a pretty ace site for a minifestival.

cat power's

version of wonderwall is really nice.
and i quite like mountain goats cover of the boys are back in town.

hmm

rather suspect a similar origin for the names.
but otherwise entirely unrelated, i think.
im still looking for a band called 'east hastings'....think they would be rather good.

oxford gig

support from The Evenings, Paul Marshall and Rocket Falls.

(i play in rocket falls = really really excited!)

dammit

wish this was on the sussex coast. would probably be the most exciting thing to have happenned in hove for a long time.

i

looked at the little pic of them in the corner,
and i have decided i dont care if i never hear their music.

bum.

i really want to go to the brighton show. but i'll have buggered off back to uni well by then.
sadness.

its all

because muse are both quite good and loved by mainstream radio/record buyers.
most bands that are quite good/awesomely good dont recieve anything like that level of approval from the mainstream.
personally i rather like them. but not enough to buy either of their last two albums.

rspce

wins

why

no cover of 'voice piece for soprano'? one of the best seven seconds of screaming i've ever heared.

woop

the shifty disco eeebleee cd i have is ace . but dont just go to the cable club on the 25th, go on the 4th jan too and see mee!

i think

i am going to go and buy this cd right away.

oh dear

i only own 7 of these albums, and i thought i liked music a lot.

something must be done about this.

ONWARDS! to the record store...

yeah well

i like this song. it really aint post rock dude, in the same way that it aint jazz, or dubstep. its just a nice song. chill out

i think

you would be looking for an artery. Cutting a vein aint gonna spray much at all.
However much of a tosser this kasabian bloke may be, however much shite may come out of his mouth, and however wank his bands new album may be, whats the big problem with emo?
Its just a type of music guys. Some people are into it. If you dont like it - dont listen to it.

very sad news.

RIP Syd. I'm going to go and listen to 'piper at the gates of dawn' very loud as a little tribute

agh

Million Dead i loved. Now i miss hugely.
Mclusky too were very wonderful.
Now i am sad.

i was there on wed

and it rocked sooo much. possibly the best gig ive ever been to. absolutely loved every minute of it. thought the new songs sounded ace - easily as good if not better than the ones they played that i knew. the set closer mogwai fear satan completely blew me away - i was exhausted by the end. i love happy songs. but i love all their albums. because they are all great.

nonono

I am sorry Damian. but you are wrong on this count. they are definately not a great band. Nor are they 'a fair cut above your average bands'. They are fairly entertaining, i will give them that.
I saw them supporting brendon benson. they entertained me for a couple of songs.
That is all

i think i just...

almost wet myself with excitement.
ive got tickets for one of the ica shows! hooray hooray hooray.
i will die a happy man.

It's cold when Khanate tour

holy shit. melt banana too.
i wish i lived in leeds.

Broken Social Scenesters: Look here

you people with tickets are all bastards
its official.
plus the barfly smells

Bloc Party - Two More Years

I dont think bloc party ever claimed to rrrrooooookkkk like maiden.
They may be a little damp on occasion, but they smell much nicer than fish.

Sony customers champion Queen over, um, Shakira

I quite like dire straits.
I especially like their headbands and facemelting guitar solos.
Its a little known fact that their first album was acually in the genre of ska-deathmetal.
So there

London gets WRECKed

ooh Trencher
lots of lovely noise
i look foreward to bleeding ears a pleanty
