Milk Thistle <3
oh
well
they've got a live CD/DVD thing
coming out next month called 'The Black Parade is Dead'
awe. some.
^fuck off
so basically all protests are worthless unless they're regarding large scale events?
these kids feel that the daily mail is attacking and misrepresenting a band which is important to them. fair play to them for actually trying to do something about it. it's better than being completely apathetic.
^this
except i didn't buy it. thankfully.
they'll never top that original pink squares single release...
ahh cocking hell
i only just bought a copy of this a few months ago. tits
what a boring cover
anyone looking for something more original should check out the why? version.
brilliant review
by the way
i don't think so
the problems that he states and explores about the band are obviously going to be aparrant in the music.
YYYYYYYYYEEESSS
oh. god. yes.
it's a spot on review
when i saw them play the music was good(ish) and the guitarist clearly knows what he's doing, but the singer ruins it for me completely.
i met him too. he's a cunt.
how
soon did these sell out last year? i want to go again but havn't really organised it...
tos
ser
definitely
i know loads of girls for whom this would be an ideal line up.
most of them are Christians.
make of that what you will.
but it's like LITERALLY
like, all or nothing, cos it's like, their second album.
make or break?
yeah?
spot on
there's really very little to be excited about here apart from pink squares. the record does show glimpses of brilliance as you say, but otherwise i find it very dull.
pretty excited about this
gonna spend my xmas vouchers on it :D
fistful of yen
were shit. so, so shit. by the sounds of that they're cunts aswell.
sounds awesome fun though, really like this band!
exciting!

The Hollows is brilliant, can't wait to hear this.
York
would be lovely please!
gah
LEEDS PLEASE!
i don't wanna go all the way to manchester on my own:-(
^^
*creams self*
eeek
i have a feeling that this album may not quite live up to expectations.
moron^
This best of is certainly just a cash-in, and completely pointless, but as a band I still believe The Libertines are one of the most important of the decade so far.
yeah
intelligent input darlin'
in the shoutbox
:-)
???
what are you even talking about?!
i think the new songs sound a lot more inventive and varied than the old ones. Don't be a Doctor was a complete departure from GMAW, without really being 'epic'. Also, the song that kicks in at 2.58ish is one of their heaviest so far. There are live bootlegs of that song ('A Shadow is a Shadow is a Shadow') and a few more from Truck at:http://www.last.fm/music/%C2%A1Forward%2C+Russia%21
good review
but how do you feel the album progresses from the previous efforts? Any new ground covered?
woking?
LOL
haha
amazing headline
i actually have a copy of Planet of ice
cos i preordered:D
fuck
yes!
the blood arm
are the WORST BAND EVER
^^
wishful thinking

i HATE not knowing where i'm gonna be come Autumn.
will most uni's have broken up by Dec 9th?
ahhh brilliant!
can't wait to hear If you'd seen a battlefield
when I saw Million Dead
there it was one of the best gigs evah.
see also: Forward russia
they havn't had anything good on for ages though, and the boileroom in Guildford is a lot better/easier to get to

oh please
for a start, watch the 'one of my kind' documentary and you might not be making misinformed comments like this, and it'll probably aid your understanding of the record as a whole, conceptually.
This 'Eagle on a pole' is a completely different song to the song on 'Conor..' - it's something of a band in-joke.
I really love this record. People should try and open their minds to the fact that a) conor is NOT going to be making albums like Fevers and Mirrors anymore, because he's not a teenager anymore; and b) that just because a particular song isn't written or sung by him, it isn't automatically bad.
This album has grown on me massively since I downloaded it. Maybe it's overly long, but I personally can't think of a bad track (yes, not even Air Matress) and there are certainly pleanty of stand outs. I think 8 is fair.
