migu were the surprise discovery of the CMJ for me. that bluesy jam where lennon and shimmy swapped instruments halfway through was great too.

for more than 10 minutes there. the situation was miles better than field day.

ah, the Bens. saw them at that one tour they did in australia. 'twas so much fun.

i adore the two bens. ben lee however i have an irrational hatred of and find sooo annoying...

ages ago. but then last night i checked wegottickets again & they've got *1* ticket on sale.

i bought it...mwahahaha.

they were so much more entertaining in a smaller stage/intimate setting i feel.
when you hear the set one realise how many perfectly-formed pop gems they've got, one after another.

review. Enjoyed Shady Bard immensely (really suited the venue & atmosphere), not quite so The Clientele. Sodastream were just sublime although a pity about the slightly abrupt ending - i wanted them to play a bit longer still.

So good i'm going again on Saturday too!

yeah most of those are from the EPs. I miss Ben Folds Five so much...they were one of the first bands I saw live, ooh nearly 10 years ago, and pretty much got me addicted to gigs and music.

And I maintain that their debut is still one of the best pop debut album. If only I can go see the gigs he's doing now with the Australian Orchestra.

haven't seen them yet but love their latest album. I'll be going then even though i hate the ULU.
