If i search the deepest corner of my brain i can see why the reviewer could have chosen foals as a comparison.

However, my beef is that he chose that as the reason to knock the mark down which is unfair in my opinion.

As the review goes on you can tell he's not even listening to the songs properly anymore.

in my humble opinion, 'Jambon Jambon' is the best track they have ever

I don't quite get the 6/10 for this, mainly due to just how brilliantly the songs are constructed etc. Especially considering some of the shite that gets 8 or 9 out of ten on here just for being 'different' when there really are no 'songs' as such. Just fun noises that are instantly forgettable.

I can see how someone may say mmm foals ever so slightly but the songs souns nothing like them in the slightest.

Don't let the mark put you off. I'd personally give it at least 8/10. Awesome.

I was put of by the hype and wasn't interested. I saw them live and was completely blown away.

Brilliant songs incredibly executed.

For all of you that wank over bands like Johnny Foreigner and slag off something as truly original as Wild Beasts there has to be something wrong in the world!

It's not even a case of opinion here. If you dont like them, it's fair enough, but i dont see how you cannot at least see what a great band they are. They are tight, original, and their songs are something that are delivered with such brilliance that even if you do leave the room, you surely cannot falter the integrity and the BALLS of such a band when comparing them to the amount of re-hashed shite out there.

The album in my opinion as brilliant anyway. But obviously that is MY opinion. x

Baby Machine is such an awesome album and i cannot believe more people haven't picked up on it!

The new EP is also fantastic! hopefully 2008 will bring great things for them.

Needless to say i'm a tad shocked by 5/10.

Bilge Pump have been around for a long time now and apparently the late John Peel had quite a taste for them.

They are awesome live, and an all round awesome band.

I suppose how i could see someone 'not getting it', but i certainly do! Phenomenal!

Lucky for me i did see them live once. Sorry Kev but it was mindblowing!

They then let onto fugazi, shellac etc and basically opened the doors to what i like to call 'the good stuff'.

I thought that would have been there. Oh and Paul Marshall too ;p

is up there with my favourite of Radiohead albums definitely. Truly ace.

Jigsaw however i feel is one of the weaker tracks. But obviously single material.

They were one of those bands where i made the mistake of saying, "ahhh i'll see them on thier next tour".

Im not one to comment on a thread about myself but enough is enough.

Mike Diver has written an extremely nice piece for me above.

In the piece, as well as mentioning that in hindsight the review may have been over-critical, he also gave me the chance to speak out and say how i felt about it which i have done above. That doesnt happen often, and for that we must realise the positivity of this feature.

Mike has done nothing but show his support by writing a great review in another publication, printing news features etc.

I obviously appreciate the support but we shouldn't lynch Mike for a review he didn't even write; on the day of writing a feature that is extremely positive!

The review has been put to bed now. Let it go people. That was months ago now.

due the fact that i was completely burned out by then.

As i mentiond above, Devastations totally did it for me.

at End Of The Road festival and after hearing lots about her, i kinda expected not to like her. How wrong i was. She alongside Devastations was the best thing i saw the whole weekend. I absolutely loved it.

I cant wait to grab a copy of this record.

which is such an amazing album. I feel that Malkmus together with Berman was a truly great combination.

I saw SJ live last year and was really dissapointed! :(

Considering they are reknowned for being pretty shit live they put on quite a good performance last night.

However my highligh was watching the dude who was clearly pilling, chewing his face off whilst Jo Whiley was trying to interview him!
