Half agree with you there
but 'Frank Black' and 'Teenager of the Year' were still great albums. Not anywhere near Pixies-great, but still great.
Also, I don't get what the deal is with Honeycomb... if anything it's just the same as his easy-listening / fairly-boring latter solo career. I reckon it would've sunk without a trace had it not come the same time as the Pixies reunion.

I thought CDs were chart ineligible if they came with a certain level of snazzy stuff. Like the new Beck album with all the stickers. And surely a bloody massive gig is worth more than a sticker sheet?

It irritates me how all his records seem to be promoted with the proud declaration "Written and recorded in just 4 days!!!". Because it shows. He's potentially capable of much better and he probably knows it. Sort it out, Thompson!
