Good On Lamacq
For leaving the sinking ship that is Radio 1.One of a couple of D.J's on there were it is not about the ego more about the music. The other is nearly a pensioner.
I didn't think his afternoon slot on 6 Music could get any better, now maybe it can.
Lamacq = the best DJ out there, Radio 1's loss.
I Don't Think You Can
It caused a few ripples mind, but still walks on water.
Maybe Muse Can Do The Same
and they could call the album Radiohead-Lite ?
How Ironic
Tom Clarke using wit to describe the thing the other artists he slates use in in their music, but he doesn't.
And I dont
Get how you can compere The Klaxons to THE friendly Fires who for me are in a different league judging by this single.
LOVE THIS SONG ,ANTHEMIC.
Small Town Girl
Played to death on MTV 2 along with Paris by Friendly Fires which is o.k by me cos there my two favorite tracks at moment.
Problem with this band is that sad name Good Shoes. It hints at a teenage indie kid following (read Good Charlotte)and a lack of credibility.
Could Have Been Worse
Not has bad as the D.J in bar in Liverpool a few year ago now mind who was shot for singing You'll Never Walk Alone on the karaoke by a disgruntled Evertonian.
Or More To The Point
Is there anyone in Babyshambles that can remember one of the tunes ?
Spot On Rev
Borrell is a legend, well that's what he himself thinks.I just see a man with a vastly inflated ego.
Self adulation doesn't do it for me afraid if he was a bar of chocolate he'd eat himself whilst looking in a full length mirror.
Difference between John McClure and Johnny Borrell is although they both have attitude,Borrell's self importance turns it into arrogance.
Sure I read Somewhere
That she won't go to Rehab because it would cause her too much embarassment as she would be seen as hypocritical.Sad,sad state of affairs.
No denying the girls talent, but popularity is a fickle thing, in that when you take liberties with fans loyalties, they won't stand for it and will turn their backs.
Best of British to the girl tho ,if she doesn't get it sorted soon ,the slippery slope she will slide down i fear.
I Really Can Spell
Bloc Party
Look At The Damage Drug Excess Does
Took a man of great talent who had creative juices flowing through is body (wrote and sang Song For Lovers), one of the greatest ballads ever penned and became carcrash.Admittedly some of the Babyshambles stuff is good but most of it is complete dross.
T3 Things About Block Party
So Here We Are is a monster of a track.Never ever tire of hearing it.
Matt Tong is a mighty fine drummer
Kele's face looks more often than not like he has lost a pound and found a penny but when he smiles ,boy does he smile.
Hawley = Genius
Anyone who can make a classic yet completely authentic album that wouldn't be out of place with the great Country Blues artists of yester year ;whilst painting a romantic picture of Sheffield city life gets my vote.
Sounds like he has picked up where he left off with Coles Corner, reading review. Can't wait to hear full album.
Lyrics That Do What They Say On The Tin
The lyrics by Arctic Monkeys,Milburn,Little Man Tate and Rev And The Makers (South Yorkshire)and Kaiser Chiefs, The Cribs,Pigeon Detectives(West Yorkshireall use a narrative that is not ambiguious. So maybe common ground there.
However if anyone thinks the sounds of Arctic Monkeys and Little Man Tate are similar you need to get your ears shringed. Now Arctic Monkeys and Milburn thats a different story.
But She Is Like Lily Allen......
But she like Lily Allen but Kate is much fitah.
Sorry bout that like to endulge myself every now and again.
The track 'Foundations' follows me every where and i can't get it out of my head to my great annoyance.Still can't work out if i like her or not.How strange.
A Few Pointers For the Joke Reviewer
1.It is important as a reviewer to at least get your facts right then be subjective.Court Report is a true story and not a concept.
2.You seem to take issue with Sheffield accent is that because your from Bolton.A bit pot calling kettle that mind you you've probably lost it and acquired a Bloc Party sounding number as youve probably lost touch with your northern roots being out of a 'dull northern town so long.
3.They sound nothing like Arctic Monkeys musically maybe the accent are you thinking of Milburn.
4.The lyrics you so criticise are just narrative no deep profound offerings here and only offensive if your PC.Easy dont listen if you are.
5.'This isn't lazy journalism.Well maybe it is.' It is.
6.The target audience you imply of being 'beered up 16 year olds' is off the mark as i am in my 40's you got the beered up bit right tho.
I'll finish by saying if you can't do the job without resorting to petty jibes that maybe you think readers will find interesting don't do it at all as if your writing style 'couldnt get much gayer'
I thank you.

Missed Hew Stephens out, he's also a quality DJ that needs to move to 6 Music.
