credit crunch is a very valid excuse.... in 2008, the entire leisure industry... restaurants, theatres, bars, promoters... have noticed a 44% decrease in sales across the board... its the opposite of panic buying of petrol in a fuel price hike... people either have less money and arent being allowed new credit cards (and when you think most tickets are bought online, that definetely affects things), or are holding onto money, as they think they may have none soon.... this coupled with an oversaturation for sure..... may for example, far too many bands toured... shows i promoted for the likes of black mountain, sunset rubdown, xiu xiu, silver jews were all only half full... last year these would have had twice as many people

this is like when you talk to friends over who remembers which kids tv program........ but i like it......some notable mentions maybe to.... the beautiful mistake, early funeral for a friend, early Juliana Theory, brandston ... maybe even rufio

come see tguk frontman matt pryor on tour with current band the new amsterdams (vagrant) in may.... cargo london on 19th, night and day manchester, thekla bristol and abc2 glasgow.

but its a good place... animal collective played there last year... was a bit empty but its a good venue.... four tet, los campesinos, adem, nina nastasia jeff lewis and more playing there at A Day At The Races in August also

i bet its just an attempt to be able to play some smaller audiences and play some possibly crapper songs that maybe would not make sense to play as bright eyes, as he needs to maintain and build his middle aged neil-young-aiming-for-grammys type audience under the bright eyes name

i'm promoting it...dates to be announced very soon.... london looks likely to be at scala

just so people know and to give the right people the merits due, it was comfortable on a tight rope promoting that show in manchester 3 years ago, although we are promoting his london show on this tour and perry and coatr are promoting the manchester show. it will be great :) scottx
