Cocktail
Bit of Winehouse, hypocritical dose of self hatred, some cheap noodles.
re: Variations On Swing
Saw this the other day in Banquet for £3. Had been meaning to buy it for ages and that is a crazy bargain.

Also playing this:
And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of The Dead
JJ72 (acoustic)
Brigade
Wow.
Was it literally a 12 hour set from them? How did that even work? Review!
Been meaning to see these for a while
And now 5 or 6 dates on this look very possible. Wicked. See you in some of Kingston, Staines, Chatham, Brixton, Ashford and Guildford possibly.
Kingston and London for me
Also, the split 7" is already out through Banquet.
You're allowed to go to both if you're 18
Underage Fest: "Age Restriction is strictly 14 to 18 years only. No Adults 19 years and over will be allowed entry."
Ah, pedantics.
"First UK Group"
She was the first UK female to reach the spot in 20 years according to Wikipedia though.
Unless I'm getting totally confused,
Leona Lewis was number one in the same chart in February.
a)
The Past Is A Grotesque Animal
A) La Confidential
I have no money and want to go please.
Neither
I don't want to listen to Q Without U whilst they keep that name and don't want to listen to Scarlet because of who she is.
Am I wrong?
Two other stages announced
Could be worse. I don't get the DJ sets things though with dance acts. Like, is Pendulum or Justice DJ sets actually interesting? Or similarly, the Radio1 DJs doing sets.
Will register anyway.
I read the second and third bonus tracks as
Spider Pig.
I'm hoping
That the second stage is actually alright-ish. It's fairly local and the other half thinks it'll be a good day out.
That list of bands is insane
Reverend and The Makers, Henry Rollins and Dodgy?! DODGY?!
Be fair
I very much enjoyed Biffy Clyro in the Oh Bar last year.
Cactus
is my favourite venue name on that list.
Worth noting,
The Kingston one, you have to pre-order the single from Banquet to get in for free. Which I think works out to £4. Which is reasonable since that's the New Slang club night which is ace, and £4 is the usual entry fee anyway.
And another
Chatham, Tap n Tin, Friday 25th January. £12 Advance.
Windmill?
Is that with We Are Scientists too? Can't find it mentioned on anything to do with them, yet there isn't a proper London date on their tour.
and
They play New Slang at The Works in Kingston on Thursday as well as some other small dates elsewhere. £4 for the Kingston one!
Re
Can't you just phone them?
yeah?
stop moaning and move to london then!
lol!
You used Pamela Anderson and cum in the same sentence.
They both supported The Rakes
On a tour a few years ago, I didn't care then either.
Heart It Races
is the only song I've heard by this band, and I love it.
Many of their songs sound the same
And come from a wave of bands that also sound the same and generally aren't that good.
I try to be open, but I don't understand the Cribs.
Brill
I don't think there's a CD release. You can pre-order the vinyl from Puregroove.
This does nothing for me
I love Bright Eyes. But Cassadega is just dull.
It is
the worst video ever
I like this song
But the video, no.
Secret?
Saw a poster up today on a nearby fence with SFA on it advertising the festival.
the thing is
There isn't an obvious choice of a single on the album, other than Understand really.
So far in these comments have been claims of 3 different obvious singles aside from the 2 that have been. And I'd claim that Pacific Theatre is single material anyway.
Eh?
That mean he is dead then?
I preferred Antics ...
to Turn On The Bright Lights. Is that allowed?
I thought ODB was dead
Oops.
It confuses me still
when the Zodiac is referred to as Carling Academy.
Tempted though.
Top
One of the albums of the year really. As most people have said, I was surprised at first but quickly grew to love it and for me it absolutely exceeds the previous 2 albums. I even like the spoken word boxing thing though, surprised when I heard it, but considering the album, it really didn't seem that out of place!
.
Saw them in Brighton on Friday. The new material is actually very good. I was pleasantly surprised. Top gig.
severe storms?
so there literally were explosions in the sky.
FINAL secret headliners?
When you ignore Biffy being announced after them.
I saw the video
I had no idea what was going on. I thought, the Kooks, back already? Sound different, in a shit way. Then it said it was Cajun Dance Party, and I'd found another band to ignore.
"as far as music is concerned, I feel like I've given it my best"
That was her best?
HA!
the whole thing is hilarious. well, the incident isn't, but the kids reactions is.

In fairness, it is a retrospective collection thing rather than a new album as such.
