Damn

'Navyhead' is among my top 10 most played tracks on my Ipod. RIP.

Offset Colin Stage - Update

Glad to see the positive feedback so far on my stage and genuinely hope everyone has a great time. However today a bit of a downer...

For reasons beyond our control Redjetson will no longer be playing Offset. Sorry about that but there really was nothing we could do about it.

Hope to see you there

Colin

:)

Glad to hear positive feedback already. I can assure you that the line up for all the stages will be ones to keep an eye on.

Hmmm...

Visions & HOTS... what about Engerica? Them splitting sucks big style donkey dong!

well...

'Start Something' is a tune. Fact!

Geeky indeed...

Flair was in the midst of a huge feud with Savage at the time about the 'pictures' he had of him and Elizabeth though and Piper was doing the whole Bret Hart thing to push him when he dropped the IC title. I don't think there was a match between Flair and Piper during this period but I could well be wrong (and probably am)

Statto moment...

My guess would be that is probably 1981 then when he held a few NWA championships as he only ever held one belt in WWF and then later in WCW.

Although that could be when he was a guest referee... sorry, loves me wrestling :(

No it is not!!!!

It is from Killer Klowns From Outer Space, a b-movie horror with the amazingly titled main hero of Mike Tobacco.

Sadly one of my fave films of all time :(

I can see...

Why so many people couldn't work out if she was black or not...

sadly...

the former of the two.

True....

When they thought it was 'The Gomez' it got an 8... allegedly.

IMHO...

This is the best single of 2006 so far. Absoloutely adore it.

Well...

I will tell you at the end :)

Blue Velvet...

Correct. I had the cover which I adored so associated him with it in my mind... my mistake.

it was...

Sprite. SOng was Freeze The Atlantic. Great b-side too The 'We Did The Music For The Spite Ad' Blues.

Well...

It it is like a Brimful of Asha... that was on a 45.

I would have watched if...

.. they had a celebrity rendition of 'Boogies' during a Royal Philamonic performance or something.

Seconded!

And based on Shrek, I mighta liked it too!

it's cool....

I am also at the Mew gig and hopefully Regina Spektor where I understand Jeremy Warmsley is supporting (awesome!)

The DiS 5-a-side team...

...backed out of a game against Fonda 500 at Truck! Big girls!

I say....

Bring back the original Brassy!

No....

You are thinking of Prussian Blue

I can say...

Sam GCWCF! is dreadful at replying to mails but he is nearly always on the road in his defence. Contact Kev @ BSM and he might be able to help.

Re: DiS @ Essex Uni: R.I.P. It Up!

Hey

That was the day the article was last changed (don't ask, not standard DiS policy) and it is an open night, not students only so if you can get there, PLEASE GO!!!!

Re: DiS @ Essex Uni: R.I.P. It Up!

It is on 15 October?

Re: Parental advisory: politics! Chris T-T returns

"The Huntsman Comes A'Marching" is a brilliant song and the response at Truck to it was superb.

Re: Mash it up: 2manydjs hit the UK

Not sure if it is sold out but for ticket info call

Re: Chin-Chiller: Chris quits Art Brut

No MP3 but I do know where you can get it on 7" for £13?

Re: Stellastarr* - Harmonies For The Haunted

And there is a reason for that. A lot of people have only heard that song due to the amount of airplay it got and so we account for ALL readership, not just Stellastarr* fans so they have something to associate with.

Re: Stellastarr* - Harmonies For The Haunted

I would love to do some flag waving but Sharon Osbourne may accuse me of be anti-American and get her friends to rught me up and send me home.

Re: Steve Lamacq - "Punk, really, changed my life"

He's an Essex boy who supports a crap team as he will find out this weekend!

Antony & The Johnsons take Mercury prize

Does anyone else think he looks like Tiny Woods of Ultrasound?

Re: Shocking! Electric Eels join The BHG!

I have been a long time fan and I make no excuses for it. I loved their 'Use Your Fingers' album and have remained loyal ever since. Still loving their cover of 'Kids In America'

Re: Roots Manuva headlines benefit show

Changed. My bad.

Re: Disturbed - Stricken

Seconded. Still like 'Down With The Sickness', 'Shout 2000' & 'Voices'... funny how open minded 'indie kids' are so anti nu-metal isn't it.

Re: Engerica - My Demise

You can hear 1/3 of it in low quality here :-

Re: Visa queue, coffee on you: old-school punks clash

It has to be the next Celebrity boxing doesn't it. Could make it in to a triple threat match and throw in Boney M as well.

FIGHT!!!!

Re: MTV makes me want to employ Ricci... Hell Yes

Could be the title for the next Androids single that...

Re: MTV makes me want to employ Ricci... Hell Yes

Could you have picked a worse picture?

Re: Maiden's egging - the backstage story

Complaining that a british band bought their national flag on stage and turning that in to a war thing? What a bag of bollox that is!

Spin spin sugar!

Re: Maiden's egging - the backstage story

You sure it is power and not cheap discounted Asda lambrini?

Re: Weezer - Beverly Hills

Right, get your head out of your arse and read that again. Many of the DiS wrtiers on this site were bought up on and adore Weezer (Pinkerton is quite easily one of my favourite albums of all time) but the new material is weak in comparison to The Blue Album, Green Album and Pinkerton. You can live in denial all you like but the demons that Rivers was exorcising have now gone and he and the band are in a comfortable position and you will NEVER see a song like 'Across The Sea' or 'Only In Dreams' ever again.

The reason this review was not so glowing was because this IS Weezer and we remember how life affirming they could be and this album was a let down by their own high standards.

Back 2 Skool: DiS @ Essex Uni

Hey! With regards to the ID, I think they will be. I am not sure on the door policy at the uni but the point was made clear to me by the head of Ents.

As for more, there will be 3 more gigs with DiS association, 2 open to the public and we will keep all updated on those in the future.

:)

Re: Where's me fanbase? Sultans Of Ping return!

'he was a sheep dog, he wasn't a cheap dog'

:)

Re: Where's me fanbase? Sultans Of Ping return!

"I am the big blue whale how do you do."
I'd like to be a turnip fish fish just like you
I'm the type of whale who likes to do my own thing
I like to rock 'n' roll to the Sultans of Ping
If all the other fish don't understand
The Sultans of ping are my favorite band

Re: Where's me fanbase? Sultans Of Ping return!

There was a gig played in February in leigh on Sea under the name 'Sultans of Ping' whose line up was described as follows :-

"the band" being Niall, Warren, someone from Jamiroquai and someone else. They did use the Sultans of Ping name and the set consisted wholly of Sultans songs."

Re: Where's me fanbase? Sultans Of Ping return!

Agreed.... but the Sultans are back E:D

V2005: Stage Times

Can't believe no-one wants to see The President Of The USA or Ray Lamontagne. They are the 2 stand out bands for me.

Re: TEAM tour from A to B

All dates are filled now I believe.
