Fair play to you and I certainly don't disagree with you that P2P sites are a good way of getting your music out there. But the point is, it was your choice as the artist. The trouble with P2P is that for many cases the artist does not have the choice, but someone who they have no relationship with chooses to put their music up. I'm all for P2P, but I'm also for artist choice and control.

Yeah better than Crystal Castles who have pulled out of Bestival due due to the fact they've only just realised they are recording an album then...someone buy them a diary for gods sake !

Yes nice article. I agree with many of the sentimenbts expressed. It is only through open debate that we can move things forward and really understand the issues involved, and gain empathy for how other people may think.

I think we all have to blame our own selves a little bit - we can't just balme the media, government etc. It's up to us to argue, to stand up for our beliefs, but be prepared to challenge them as well, and also the beliefs of others.

Having been to the last 3 besties I reckon it is one of the best festivals in the UK. They had a few teething problems last year with the increase in occupancy which lead to overlong queues for food / bars and toilets not being as great as previous years, but Rob Da Bank has made it clear that they are going to improve these sorts of things this year. Amazing headliners for a medium size festy though (esp if they do get The Cure) - so glad I got my ticket last year on the early bird cheapo deal.
