About bloomin' time
VR suck - long live STP!
(They'd better tour Europe before they all fall out/Weiland gets busted for crack again!)
hmm....
This happened when I saw Our Lady Peace at ULU back in 2002....we ended up on the street with the guitarist from the band who'd got separated from the rest and had no clue what was going on!
They need to fix their alarms!
well..
it's probably not actually that loud on stage...the band will have in ear monitors (like headphones) so there probably isn't much in the way of amplification on the stage itself - it'd be quieter than out in the audience where the sound is directed at you!
Is he wearing a free Vodafone hat fomr when his Dad did those dodgy TV adverts with Gary Neville!??
Pumpkins gigs are always hit and miss...
Just like their records post Mellon Collie!
I saw them in B'ham on the Mellon Collie tour and the end was the most anti-climatic I've ever been to! They finished and Corgan sat on the stage with the house lights up telling people to go home asking "Don't you people have homes to go to?"
I wish he'd done what I did and instead of reformed just put the Viewphoria DVD and re-lived classic Pumpkins...not this diluted version.
Uhm...
*Points to the door*
Yes!
It's a grower for sure, some great tracks as ever, and all over the shop style-wise, just like the last 2 records!
Yeah...
It's about time the UK 'got' Wilco. Plus I wanna see 'em live.
Line up of the year...
So far!
It was 1996...
When Feeder supported Terrorvision (I went to Rock City), were being called 'the british pumpkins', and didn't suck balls!
They need to be harder...
On these wankers. Make it illegal to sell tickets on any website other than the government 'swap shop', or make it illegal to sell tickets anywhere for more than face value. These touts are all claiming benefits while making thousands of pounds and not paying tax, it's a fucking disgrace!
I'm glad...
DiS isn't full of Idlewild haters, like the rest of the world seems to be. I think they've gone from strength to strength and are getting better and better. And to have survived 11 years in this industry, they must be doing something right!
The new album is brilliant, some really really strong songs. Can't wait for the tour in March!
Fuck the cynics.
I went to the London acoustic show and hearing some of Grohl's best compositions to date played by a full acoustic band was breathtaking! Can't wait to hear/see this!
About time too!
Courtney must need some more drug/rehab money...
Agreed.
Great band, hugely under-rated and missed a lot.
Still waiting on Mr Draper's solo album, which he's apparently working on.
Internet killed the radio star?
DiScuss!
Please BBC!
Give some good LIVE music at a decent time now!
"All press is good press"
Brings a new twist?
Hmm...
Some shitty US newsblog started this....if only everyone stuck with DiS as their music news source...and Dave better not die soon, I've spent a fortune on Apollo & Hyde Park tickets!!
Who spends 50 million?
Apple! They spent more than that in the iPod ads which include the U2 iPod....that was the deal, U2 didn't take a penny from Apple for the whole U2 iPod thing, but Apple spent a LOT of dollars advetising iPods using U2's image - hence Bono's face being on the packaging for all the new video iPods and the majority of Apple's advertising!
It's about time....
FNM reformed isn't it?
...
It's ten years this year since I sent off for the free 2 track Feeder cassette in Kerrang - I was 15 and they excited me. Now I'm 25 and they bore me to tears!
They're one of those bands that had some great songs, but a lot of average ones too. And for me, they never managed to capture the vibe of their early live shows on record.
They are shit....
But you'd think selling 60,000 albums secures you a place on the label and the chance to make another album....selling 60,000 records is no mean feat!
Anyone noticed...
That there's been ads on *TV* for their upcoming tour? How often do you see TV ads for tours? Never! And it starts on the 11th March, it's not like it's months away...poor ticket sales methinks...?
Ouch!
How embarrasing! I bet the lawyer is popular with the band/managment/label!
My question is: Has Duncan instructed his lawyer to sue himself, on Duncan's behalf after this incident?
The Mau- Maus - Antaraxia EP
And yes they're great live, even David Hasslehoff thinks so too ;-)

Technically...
it won't be the first chance to hear tracks from the new record...maybe the first chance to hear them live.
I'm wondering if the 8 min 36 secs ‘I Will Possess Your Heart’ is going to be edited for radio? Or are they not bothering with worrying about this as they're laughing at us Brits and our 'singles chart'?
