stand out track in my opinion

very good first album, average second album, if this is somewhere between the two it will be worth a listen. If you get the chance though, do go see them live!

its gonna be the first album i'll be queuing up for on the day its released in ages

if there first album hadnt been so damned good then the follow up albums would have had rave reviews, they just set the level too high. not as good as tramp attack though...

as i saw them live last week and the songs had much more energy. good album though, much more variation than the debut. liverpool influence comes from the little flames who they are touring with not the coral. cant believe nobody has mentioned old yellow bricks, i cant get that riff out of my head!

the bluetones were always an easy target for abuse but were (and maybe still are) better than they were given credit for.

i for one will give the new album a listen before just writing it off

they did some decent early demos tho and i still think theyre great live

bands often do great debuts which are overlooked, then release a slightly blander version as their follow up which all the pop fans love and buy!

you got polar bears and final straw but not when its all over... Its my fave album by them, give it a listen its not too poppy like the newer stuff but aint got any duff songs! great album

anyone heard of the reindeer section? cool little side project gary lightbody did a while ago featuring loads of guest musicians (alfie, mogwai, arab strap, belle and sabastian off the top of my head). Just if anyone is demoralised by the newer snow patrol stuff its definitely worth a look in!

i think for me personally, this song is the nail in the snow patrol coffin. Ive been a fan for years, i remember having to order in 'one night is not enough' as the shop wasnt stocking it. I was a little dissapointed by the polished sound of final straw, though still bought it. I tried to tell myself that i was just comparing it with their older stuff and wouldnt mind it if a new band released those songs. the new single is very dissapointing though, i agree that they have seen the success and just written the pleasant pop song they knew would sell. i doubt very much gary lightbody would choose to listen too this kind of music himself!!

that extra song they put on the first album when they re-released it was the worst thing they had released so didnt hold out much hope for the 2nd album. sadly they have failed to change my expectations with this single

im a fan af milburn, have been for a while, was a fan before i had even heard of the arctic monkeys, now all anyone will do is slag milburn off for copying them!!

They have there own sound and have had it for years now! i agreee with domgourley, whoever is in charge needs to stop marketing them as 'the next monkeys'
