Tickets
Now Dawsons is closed in Abingdon and Polar Bear is closed in Oxford, I don't know where I shall get a ticket.
This band is horrible
They sound like Dave Matthews Band playing Rooster songs.
Playlouder
reads like trashbat.co.ck
Oooh Yeah
I love the June Brides, my favourite song is Sunday to Saturday, does anybody do that?
oh
right
I thought
this was released about a half a year ago?
I
nearly didn't click on this article because I thought it would just really annoy me, but I feel quite pleasantly relieved.
This is a
silly band
'world’s leading independent underground metal and heavy rock record label.'
I thought Roadrunner now was part of the Universal Music Group, not really independent at all.
They are a fantastic live band
I seen them twice, you should go and watch them if you can, they have a double bass player and an electric bass player, you can't imagine how much bass there is!
Re: Up-C Down-C Left-C Right-C ABC + START - And T
No that's Up, Down, Left, Right, hold A + tap Start.
Camden's Koko scoops venue award
I went when Koko was the Camden Palace and then the pints were quite reasonably priced and I thought it was a cool venue for walking round but the sound is much better on the floor compared to the balcony.
The best venue in Camden is the Electric Ballroom, at least that's what I reckon.

Q nominations: Oasis storm the shortlists
Nearly every category has practically the same bands, it's totally retarded.
Re: Q nominations: Oasis storm the shortlists
You could vote for MIA instead though.
So good we're Jealous: label mates on tour
Audioscope is looking pretty decent again.
Opeth - Ghost Reveries
I didn't think this is as good as some of their previous albums, it's more repetitive and doesn't seem to have as many ideas.
They peaked at My Arms Your Hearse and seem to have been in descent ever since Blackwater Park.

Leopard lamped during Johnny Depp show
I hope that Marty had time to shout 'that's not very christian behaviour' down the microphone before getting beaten up, in a jackass style.

CD Wrong: online retailer riles the BPI
If you want to buy chart CDs, 101cd.com has most of them at £7.95 delivered.
I don't know if they steal from charities as well though.

This Aint Vegas - The Night Don Benito Saved My Li
The LP comes on extra chunky vinyl, I like it a lot.
Fear Factory - Transgression
I thought Christian Olde Wolbers was quite good at the guitar on Archetype, and it seemed like a good idea to kick out Dino, have they really regressed again?
Jon Bon's still Slippery When Wet
The original is also still available at hundreds of car boot sales around the country.
Kate Bush: the King of the Mountain
I heard a story about Kate Bush.
After her last album, the label kept calling her up and asking her when the next album would be ready.
Eventually she said they could come round and see what she'd been working on.
So they flew all the way out, and got to her house and couldn't wait to see what she had been working on.
And she invited them in, and they sat down, and she brought out a tray of cakes, and told them that's what she's been working on.

It's Bank Holiday Monday - let's tour the M4!
What no Chieveley gig!?!?!?!?!
Re: Stewart Lee - True Lee, Mad Lee, Deep Lee
Yeah I watched Stewart Lee at Glastonbury in 2000 I think and that was also really funny, I just always preferred Herring a bit more.
Re: Rock rags record best-ever sales figures
I'm pretty sure that the article linked here says that the sales figures indicate how many copies of each magazine have been sold during the past 6 months, so to take an example, the NME hasn't been doing 72,640 sales per week, more like 3,000 odd.

Stewart Lee - True Lee, Mad Lee, Deep Lee
I saw Richard Herring about 2 months ago and nearly weed myself it was so funny.
I can't wait until they do something together again since ...Richard Not Judy was one of the best things ever on TV.

The night This Aint Vegas played a show...
TAV are a splendid band.
Pharrell to score Eighties robot movie
I've been waiting for this ever since those citroen adverts with a dancing transformer.
Screaming Tarts release compilation record
From the title of this article, I was mostly expecting to be reading the official news of The Spice Girls reforming, and releasing a 'best of' to mark the occasion.
Re: JJ72 return!
wow you signed up just to quell that particular rumour, but how do you KNOW it isn't true?
JJ72 return!
Is it true they got a new bassist because the singer was going out with the previous bass player's sister and cheated on her so she quit?
'Johnny B Goode' Johnnie dies at 80
Marty could probably have sued him when you look at the evidence.
New album from Weezer, 'Make Believe'
Try and listen to it without automatically thinking 'If you waaaant to destroy my sweaterrrrrr...'
More names added to Download Festival 2005
Ha ha, Fozzy is WWF wrestler Chris Jericho's band.
Bullet for my Valentine - Four Words (to choke upo
Is this the song Zane Lowe seems to play every day?
Re: Truck is 8! Biffy! Patrick Wolf! Magic Numbers
yeah they are the barren wasteland on the other side of dullsville
Re: One Longer: 65days tour goes 'Hole' hog
Just down by the right of the entrance, they move all of the chairs out the way and put loads of candles out, you have to go into the bar and get a ticket before it closes at 6pm on Sunday though.
There's always posters up around the bar if they've got an event on in the near future.
Check www.brownsindepedentbar.com
The band nights are called Dirt nights.

Re: One Longer: 65days tour goes 'Hole' hog
They have bands on most Sundays in Brown's.
Re: Edwyn Collins very ill
There was a time when it was on TOTP every week for about 3 months.
Re: The Rakes hit the road
You're just saying that because we don't go to work in gold-plated punts like you do in Cambridge.
The Rakes hit the road
Coventry Coliseum is actually spelled Coventry Colosseum.
Re: High On Fire - Blessed Black Wings
I have been a fan of many Relapse albums for a while, but I like more metal than it is sensible to like.
High On Fire - Blessed Black Wings
Ah excellent, Surrounded By Thieves was superb and I hope this will have something that stands up to 'The Yeti'.
Re: The worst of the worst: The Naomis run down
'Apparently Moz was meant to "duet" with Robbie at the Brits but Moz snubbed him'
my hero *sigh*

Re: Download 2005: SoaD, Feeder, Weezer and Sabbat
That's the most sense I've read for a while.
Re: The Libertines: not over
Difficult third album
Art Brut shack up with The Chalets
I am glad to see there will be plenty of Midlands dates as usual.
