hooray for Euros!

and bring back Gorkys I say.

new album has been recorded already

as far as I know.

Chops > Yr Atal Genhedlaeth
Candylion > Miracle Inn

Euros

is releasing another new album this year. He's a demi-god!

Agreed

a very furry God at that.

Is that pretty freaky Bowie?

Er... well, yes it is. Time for a new original record I think. Has he recovered from the heart condition yet?

The ICA gig

was amazing indeed! I literally dribbled with joy afterwards.

the single

was incredible.... I prefer them to the Stripes I think.

I Lust You

is one of the great singles of the year - it's fresh and perky but has a nice kinda underlying sadness to it.

I agree though, the Bip / Rhys thing isn't always a mutually beneficial contrast, but it's mostly successful! Hence the 7s I guess...

ps

any Welsh language pop fans out there might want to check out the new Radio Crymi Playlist Volume 2 from Ankst. It's reviewed here: http://www.artrocker.com/node/1098

Green Man 07

would have been the dogs ballsack if it hadn't been so damn muddy and wet. As it was, my best festie prize went to Bestival via a sun-shaped loophole.

However! The general atmosphere of Green Man is beautiful; the landscape is incredible, and although the music is folk at heart, it's also increasingly becoming as alternative as ATP.

If the Furries are on board for 2008, count me in!

Only

the 6th record?

I hope

they play Live and Let Die at his funeral! They could use the cremation flames as stage effects.

Er... when the time comes, of course.

Ahhhh

I might have missed a trick here :(

where are the furries

Mr Diver? They'd best be in the next bunch!

I might just have to do that

but why did they devote three whole chapters to the review when it was clearly a load of wankamuffin?

balls!

It's a classic tune, probably my fave from the album. Go furries go!

I'd like to hear

J Lo say "It's turkey time, gobble gobble". I think that'd just about make my day...

Gruff @ Green man

this year was wicked!

It was a laugh

and not meant to be taken seriously perhaps! The funny thing about this project is it unites SFA and The Strokes.

Stranger things have not happened at sea...

I wonder if

Jackie plays the mandolin on the track. Boom boom :(

Which line up did Wish?

Because whichever one it is, that's my favourite line up! :)

That was the most

psychedelic festival of the year! And I didn't even drop any acid...

it's a classy choon

..need I say more!

Black Francis'

new record is supposed to be made up of demos intended for the Pixies, and I've heard it's really good! It's called... er... Bluefinger (I think)

win tickets to see lez zeppelin

on artrocker.com this week!

put it this way

when Robert Plant played Whole Lotta Love at the Green Man Festie it was like a gift from Ye Gods... and that was without the rest of Zeppelin.

this is one reunion I'd pay outta my anus to see.

My welsh

is restricted to 'Bore Da' and that was the name of a Euros album! I'd... er... better avoid that gig then.

this happened at a party

I told a chap that I thought SFA were the best band ever. He was like "Ha ha good Joke!" then his face turned to primal caveman horror as he realised I was serious. "But what about oasis?" he dribbled.

we're doin' a huge SFA interview

this week and next week on artrocker.com. Here be the link!

too right

I met Bill Drummond at Jarv's meltdown... and according to rumour the KLF hermit will be appearing in the next Artrocker mag as a result ;)

They're playing tonight

at Artrocker's 5th birthday bash.. come down why not!

It was fabbo

Here's a bit about the new songs -
'Runaway' is amazing -it's a sort of broken hearted Motown tune, sad but uplifting. 'Into the Night' is a bit Blaxploitation funk. New single 'Show your hand' sounds very Beach Boys, but hey that's a good thing yeah?
I was moshing to the man don't give a fuck too! Nice to have moshed with some DiS correspondants... ;)

Jumping the fence

and landing in front of two horse mounted security guards. I panicked and swiftly jumped over the second fence - only to land in a pool of sewage. After that I smelt so bad that my friends disowned me and I had to seek refuge amongst the crusties, who took me in like an old friend.

Those were the days!

Suicide

are rumoured to be playing the Artrocker club very soon too... it's free to members don't ya know!

Batdance

was nothing on "Hold me thrill me kiss me kill me!"

There are

small alternatives to the NME though - Artrocker, DiS, Playlouder and Popmatters to name a few! We just need some kind of revolution. Beheadings even! Que Pirate noises! Arrrr.

I nearly had

a fecking heart attack

There are 66 Horrors fans

on DiS.

I know, I know... too much spare time etc!

oui oui

That album's amazing, it gave me lift off when I was but a puppy. Re "the endless U2 debate", despite the last 2 albums being semi - pants, I like U2 and eh... I see no bad bones in that. Honestly! Bono can be a moron, yadda yadda yadda, but the music can be pretty good.

He probably does deserve it...

... to be honest! (That is, Bono not Jimmy Saville)

ahh, poor Heathen

Surely that sexcellent album is worth it alone for the photos of Lord Darth Bowie looking all sinister on the sleeve?

(there were clues he was getting his mojo back even earlier mind; 1 Outside positively wreaked of Burroughs, Lynch, Burgess and, eh... Camden market! Ahem)

Well I think

it's nice to have a band that doesn't take themselves too seriously. The Ripps are a buzz and a laugh, nothing to write essays about.

hmmmm

Not trying to be controversial, but right now I dig the Aliens more. Gordon Anderson's got a brilliant voice, and as a front man he's full of kung-fu moves and mental rantings. I saw them last week at the Scala and the whole thing was like an MDMA cocktail!

but but but

he's kind of right- there are alot of cloned Libermonkeys around at the mo! At least the Kaser Chiefs have a pop at pop if ya knowwhatImean....

ahhhh

Blimey has it really been 10 years since 6th form?!? AAAAAaaarrrghhhhh!!!

Whatever happened to

The Tears?

Blimey

an allie of monstrous beasts? She sounds like my kinda girl!

Fair review

unlike the NME's mortifyingly predicatable backlash....

SFA's last album

was excellent still, but a bit too mid-tempo in places... I'd like to see them do a techno-surf album.
