That one about garage rock.
Henning something?
And yes, I have heard the whole record.
This band has one good song
but I do enjoy these tour diaries.
This is rather sad.
Never really got into World of Twist, but Earl Brutus were a brilliant band. x
I'm not condoning this by the way...
and my first post was most certainly sarcastic, but there is no excuse for throwing shit at bands.
You wouldn't say that to his face though.
Would you?
There was so much missing from that...
that I just forgot to put in. It sounds nothing like it did in my head. Balls to this.
I don't condone killing defenseless animals.
I haven't laughed at a news story in a very long time. God bless you, Smith.
You can talk, Cocker.
But yes, I am still ever so slightly bitter.
It really is an awful comment.
I'm still cringing.
I think the forum is actually them.
I did sound for these guys at a gig a couple of years back. They sounded like lairy sub-libertines bullshit, and weren't even that good at it. Their rise to fame to makes absolutely no sense to me.
* is.
Duh.
As much as I may not wish to stand up for them,
what you just said it's absolute bollocks. And I think you're well aware of it.
Surely he's implying that people DO want to hear
songs about people living in small houses/flats/council houses/any place that's yknow, a bit poor.
I'm still none the wiser.
Same here.
I was so tempted but I'm so skint.
I do love the Mr Show so much.
This band is incredible.
Regardless of how much this band is "progressing," I don't understand how anyone could review this so averagely. It's brilliantly written, smart, and brings a shit-eating grin to my face every I hear it.
LSF!
Praise the lord.
Urgh.
This band really are horrible. The world doesn't need more than one Lostprophets.
Haha
My girlfriend used to hang out with Neil's Children a little bit for some reason. I wish I'd have mentioned the feeding coke to a hamster incident, but it's a hard thing to slip into a conversation. They are, incidentally, not a very good band.
I saw The Horrors the other night.
I thought I was going to DISPISE them, but actually ended up quite enjoying them. 90 second songs, a couple of old covers, pretty engaging frontman. It's vaudeville, it's stupid, it'll be fun for the next month, but they're nowhere near the antichrists that they get made out to be on here.
Plus, they had a Monks sticker on their keyboard. Respect.
But
do they not just sound like the Lostprophets with some added metal bits and some kerrazy synths?
How Queer
Just this morning I was lying in my bed thinking "I wonder what DFA1979 are up to, I quite liked a couple of their songs."
Not a huge loss though, and there's always MSTRKRFT are pretty ace-o.
I quite like the songs.
Will probably like them more when something is recorded 'properly.'
How different does Falco look though?!
...
Erm, according to nme.com their next single is called 'In The Morning.'
Not that I care or anything, of course...
That would be ace!
Imagine switching on VH1 and finding that "Officer Friendly's little boy's got a mohawk / And he knows just where we're coming from" was at #1.
Was there actually a point to this feature? DiS is getting very crap-comedy orientated recently.
I think the album is, unexpectedly, very good.
Erm...
That picture is of a teenage band from Bury St. Edmunds who used to be called Black Mountain, but then changed it to The Black Mountains after the real Black Mountain got popular.
Like, what?!
.
It really is, isn't it?!
They're a decent band, but I much prefer the idea of them, and splitting up now is the icing on the cake.
If I was wearing a hat, I would take it off to them.
Me too
If more bands were as bad-ass as Mclusky the world would be a much, much better place.
Yeah, but...
The Arctic Monkeys hadn't even released their album, had they? For them to headline would have seemed ridiculous, more so than it already is.
Top work...
It's the same thing really, ain't it?
Someone once told me
it's also the sign-language symbol for vagina.
We weren't talking about Jay-Z (or Diamond Dallas Page, for that matter), at the time, so I presume they were telling the truth.
Although, admittedly, I'm not sign-language expert...

haha
You're hilarious dude!
A friend has heard some of this record and says it sounds like some sort of C86 band but with the extremely lame vocals still standing strong.
I've never felt more embarrassed for a band than when I saw this lot support The Sonics a few months ago. I was genuinely cringing through most of it.
That said, he shits all over my fantasy football team.
