This pleasant news...

and no mistake.

Yeah that Stornoway single is lovely...

been sat in the garden listening to it, with a cup of tea and a cigarette. Works beautifully in the summer sunshine.

I really want to see these live...

Im just insanely poor.

I was sickened by a photo on their myspace...

one of them was playing on an old school gameboy.

They do seem to fucking wish soooo much that it was the eighties. In reality though, its just that they want people to think they bum the eighties cause that makes them cool.

Its sort of sad news

but they've been practically dormant to the outside eye that its been coming for ages. Shame, I've heard the new demo's were mint.

I am going to go and but this tomorrow...

on the strength of the original.
Cause that was fucking ACE.
xx

You're prob right with the 3/10 thing..

but your review had nowt do with the single.

It is a bit good.

Better than Alligator?

Daniel Ross

Is VERY VERY wrong.

Werent the Thrills quite big at one point...

they're playing small venues....

This band are fucking AMAZING

I was goin to write a review of this single, wish I had now...

Might pop down to the Stoke gig

worth a look innit?

This reviewer is WRONG

so very wrong....

Went in Music Zone in Newcastle Under Lyme at dinnner...

they don't see the point in stocking it.
I'm off up HMV in me free tomorrow, I must have this album, he's a fucking genius.

They were ACE

Manchester gig on the 6th was the best I'v been to in a long while.

I saw these on Sunday

it was painful, the club was nicely busy when the second support were on, not heaving but not empty. Then when VEG Club were on there were 43 people...in a venue that could easily hold about 500. I struggled to enjoy them as much as I would have. I felt really bad, they carried on like troopers, acting as though nothing was wrong. Even when I spoke to Adam, he said "Its ok, its a Sunday night, quiet aren't they?" What a lovely chap, what a good band, what a horrible night.

I fucking love this band

This is a really good EP and if its anything to go by an album by The Scare would be ace.
Ace live too.

Alfa 9

The shiznit, I'm glad they're finally getting noticed. They're rate good.

This isn't a review

its a comment.

Actually, reading this review again....

'first classic self titled album'?!
'The Libertines' was their second album?! Two huge mistakes in one review thats only 6 lines long, dear me.

These are my new favourite band....

I love them, for 45mins when you see them live, geeks have taken over the world...its all good.

They are anything but ordinary...

an absolutely brilliant pop band in my opinion, and fantastic live.

I love this album....

I am amazed by how two girls who are so young can be this talented.

I saw these live....

they were boring, and not suprisingly on record they are boring.
3/10 for me.

I thought it was an ace album...

I'm quite looking forward to this album. Plus its almost as if Idlewild are releasing a double album, which can only be good.

They were one of the first bands...

to really start giving away material on the internet, something which bands like Arctic Monkeys have follwed.
Its an ace book and they were an amazing band.

I don't disagree with you...

This album is near perfection, but Carl is the one that says "people tell me I'm wrong...Fuck 'em."

I realise how late I am descovering these...

but i really like them.
Whilst in the Libertines, John always carried himself with a dignity that Pete and I suppose Carl didn't and his new band have followed suit.
They haven't been thrust into our faces like Babyshambles and DPT. We haven't been forced to listen to the embarassing antics of their fronyamn, they're letting their music do the talking. They probably won't be as big as the other bands spawned from the Libertines, but that doesn't matter. At least they won't turn people off straight away by annoying the fuck out of them.

Exactly....

Better to burn out than fade away.
Still shit though.

I think this song is magnificent

Loved on the first listen, and the video is amazing.

Thats complete Balls mate

The albums not worth 10/10 as the NME say, but its certainly worth more than zero. I reckon you haven't even listened to it.
Whats all this about the punters realising they've been done for their money? The album certainly isn't rubbish, and whether we like it or not, the second album will shift shit loads as well. The Arctic Monkeys got where they are (admittedly with the help of a lot of hype) by touring solidly and building up a massive and loyal fanbase. They've definately got more than a 50% chance of survival, if they carry on the way they are its more like 99%!

I'm intrigued....

but I wasn't overly impressed when I saw them live.

This review is spot on.

Well done.

Fucking quality album

Agent Blue are absolutely superb live so the person who said that they were 'Blown away by the support act' doesnt even know what they're talking about.
AB deserve all the success in the world and if there's any justice, this will be the album that gives it to them.

Good job phil....

the agent blue boys would be proud.

I was going to buy it the other day....

but i'm quite short on funds at the moment, and so unnecessary expenditures are unwise at this point, but once i get a bit of cash together I'll make sure to get a copy.

I will definately go...

to the sugarmill date.
YES!!!!!
Its goin to be mint.

I'd probably give the strokes....

6/10 in general.
Not heard this album, but I'm really not a big Strokes fan. A lot of my mates were really looking forward to this album and wanted to go and get it the day it came out but I really can't help but be indifferent to The Strokes. The only thing that stops me giving them 5/10 is that they've put out a few good singles like "12:51, Someday, Last Nite and Reptilia." But apart from that I syruggle to have an opinion on them at all.

I've got a dilemma.....

Jan 23rd.
Do I but Arctic Monkeys "What ever you say I am...."
Or Agent Blue "A Stolen Honda Vision"?

I think I'l go with Agent Blue.

I thought W/P was really good....

But I'm not shocked that they've been dropped. None of their albums have been big sellers. The Remote Part sold ok.

That rock hand does my head in as well.
What freaked me out was when I saw them in March and during 'I want a Warning', I looked to my left and there was this women who was about 55 gyrating and swivelling her hips and that, really getting down. Surely that is wrong?!

I absolutely love this song....

and the first time I saw that advert I was mesmerised.
Wat a really beautiful advert and what a BEAUTIFUL song.
Just might buy the album.

I quite like....

The Ordinary Boys.
Think the albums alright too.

Some Good Stuff

Nice to see Bright Eyes, I'm Wide Awake Its morning, so high up.
Silent Alarm, is right to be in the top10 as well.

Coldplay are...

so bloody good. Love this song, love the album, love the band. Best band in the world today bar none. And really nice guys with it.
In my opinion (and it is just my opinion, not trying to force it upon anyone) but they really can do nothing wrong.

i prefer....

the demo version. It sounds more raw. 'Riyz to the rubble' is pretty damn good as well.

KEVIN IS GAY

Mint name for a song.
Its not that bad either.
