Na you've done it wrong.
The whole playlist should be Zombina and the Skeletones:
Nobody likes you (when you're dead)
To the Grave .... and Beyond!
Dracula's Tango
Can't break a dead girl's heart
Evil Science
Raised in Hell
etc
Raised in Hell
I'm enjoying it.
Unnatural Selection and MK ultra are great, but I'm also really enjoying I belong to you and undisclosed desire. Guiding light is rubbish, though, it's this album's invincible. Yet to make a decision on the symphony, needs a few more listens.
Its still not as good as their previous offerings though.
Showbiz>OOS>Absolution>BHAR>The Resistance.
True fact.
It's good isn't it?
Saw them live tother day, and the strenght of the backing vocals really comes through in a way that isn't really evident on record.
Though the wolves tracks were still the highlights of the night. (Learning lego!)
I love the 'lets fleece a few old friends' part of the greatest shakedown. Brilliant.
Saw them in Oxford
Great stuff. (she was certainly giving it some with the maracas then.
Reviewer is spot on regard Peej's stage presence - unbelievable. 'Possessed' is exactly the term I used talking about her afterwards, both on A woman..., and the petrifying Taut.
I do love Parish guitar on 'rope bridge crossing', however. I can hear the bridge swinging as he plays it.
I think
they are both equally great.
Na
For me the single is not one of the most interesting tracks on the album - certainly it was the least satisfying live. Its a bit too generic, a bit too rock-by-numbers for my liking. Although it is good
Pig will not; 16,15,14; A woman a man etc are better, and Soldier is a beautiful track.
I saw them
supporting blood red shoes and they were dreadful. DREADful.
... better ways to self destruct
and what your man there said: no seafood?!
I don't think its on here...
but editors cover of lullaby is good.
The best Christmas song by quite some distance
is Zombina and the Skeletones' "chainsaw for Christmas". Thusly:-
"Last year my baby got me a gameboy
I still haven't taken it out of the box
My family still get me all the same toys
They might as well be buying me rocks
Every year I send the same list
First class to Santa's house
Every year I feel a little more sick
At the way Santas messing me about
I want girl skin shoes and a boy skin hat
I want the new Slayer album and a couple of rats
But most of all...
I want a chainsaw for christmas
Cos I can give that gift to all of the world
I got a feeling we're gonna have some good fun
We'll have a party party time
I hope my baby gets me a nailgun
And I hope he lets me try it out on his spine
I want an atom bomb
And a bald head wig
The necronomicon
And some sandwiches
But most of all...
I want a chainsaw for christmas
Cos I can give that gift to all of the world
Nice to see
that you managed to crowbar a reference to their hitherto unappreciated brilliance into this unrelated article. Good work.
Huzzah to Peggy Sue!
Apparently the pirates have gone missing these days.
Spare Parts and Superman are two of my favourite songs at the moment.
I actually only own t-shirts with bands on them.
My favourite is an Ash 'free all angels' star wars style tshirt from my first ever proper gig. i was about 14, and the tee, being a large, is still far to big for me. it must have looked like a gown on me originally.
Currently enjoying my British Sea Power 'heron addict' T. It sounds a bit like heroIN addict, see?
^ this
My dad stuck a live version of Final Day on a compilation for me, and its one of the most wonderful songs I've ever heard.
Her voice is so understated, yet demands the closest attention.
Yes.
These are ace.
I have their EP-y thing, and its really top stuff.
Saw them supporting editors and they looked like they were having just the most fun ever.
Dying is fine is excellent.
On the other hand I bought the VW album tother day. And its rubbish. Although I do like the bit where Blake has a new face.
Editors
Thats who they were supporting. That was buggin me.
isnt it just?
I saw them supporting, er, someone, and they looked like they were having just the best time ever. and the ep is really good. A manner to act = nice.
This video...
disguises just quite how teeny-tiny Laura-Mary is.
Good song.
Hello Young Lovers
Brilliant.
Peggy Sue
and the Pirates
Brilliant
havent heard it as an album yet
but from what i heard at wolves civic tother day, its going to be great.
The track im given to understand is called threads was simply breathtaking, and the rip and silence are both excellent. I cant wait to get my hands on it.
Also - johny rat. YES
Ive been walking around doing that constantly for about 3 weeks now. I certainly get some funny looks.
Vincent vincent
(if that is his real name :) )
seemed like a bit of a tosser when i saw them supporting someone or other.
They were rubbish too.
yes indeed they can -
to great effect on my oh my.
Bab bab-ba ba bab-bab bababab ...
Agreed
Jason's Basement
Rocks.
As does
Night.
ditto ditto ditto
It's bad. Maybe itll be a grower but i doubt it. I love all the previous ash albums, but that wasnt a pleasant listen. However, the i started a fire download was considerably more promising. Who knows.
saw them in fibbers tother day
New stuff sounds suprisingly like trailer / 1977 era ash. (which is a good thing!)
Boring!?
I think not! great stuff esp. right is right is right and misfortune.
Saw them at fibs
tother day. Twas good, new stuff sounds wierdly like ash. But in a good way.
:(
Were a great, great band. Very sad indeed. Saw them back in 2002 when i was only 16, and again in october, two of the best gigs ive been to.
first heard them on mtv2, the double a-side film maker/been training dogs, blew me away. First album is easily the best, but ilike the other two too.
tis good
but not as good as the beeching report.
brilliant
it makes me sad
that no-one seems to like "you dont need this song". I think its one of the best tracks on the album. lovely.
incidently
they sound a lot like seafood, which is no bad thing in my book
What?!
I wasnt even aware of any hype surrounding this band... never heard them mentioned apart from with regard to BP support slot.
I think the album's great, and i can't believe the bile you've reserved for 'the death', its really good. apart from that, 'you dont need this song' is lovely, and so is "parasite". How can anyone review this album with out mentioning the beautiful vocals from both singers! 8 or 9 ou of 10 for me
why must bands continually re-release singles?
I dont get it.
Spot on with the "eleven" bit - classic.
i hope
the new album has the same great balance as a certain trigger. All the songs on that album are great, but they dont all sound the same. PS the coast is always changing is a tune.
as is
black wave...
It is a good album. A very good album.
How many people paid the extra money for the pretty box?
halo and easyworld
were fricking great. Anyone heard easyworld's cover of 'hopelessly devoted to you' out of Grease. Great stuff.
my friend
thinks the beginning of new emotion sounds like 'cotton eye joe'!
Kinesis
Kinesis, kinesis, kinesis. Kinesis.
Mine too...
Better even than put you in your place or commercial breakdown. The rest of raise the alarm aint that great, but this song is quality.
im dizzy with ...
anticipation!
im a long time TCTC fan
... and i really like this song. Its the best of the new stuff that ive heard. Was nice live too. It's not quite Murder Song quality though, i suppose.
In Manchester...
They played a mix of tracks, but only Muscle Museum off of showbiz. Playing the whole album live would have been pretty spectacular but think i would have missed the (better) old tracks esp. butterflys, P in B, Muscle Museum and suchlike. However, they're the best.
hmmmm...
Saw them at brum barfly in april (i think), virtually no-one there. Was a great shame. only played for about 45 mins too. Love the albums tho.
hmmmm
Haven't noticed the vines connection, perhaps because nba are good?
This is a generally great album, I appreciate the samey-ness, but i resent the implication the only stupid people could love it!

How about subway song by the cure.
