Re: Collins contracted MRSA after haemorrhages
Washing beds has little to do with the NHS. The cleaning services contracts were sold out in a lowest bidder style under the conservitives. Basically this means that medical staff have no direct control over the cleaning people who put on a cheap service to cut costs and win contracts.
Re: Collins contracted MRSA after haemorrhages
I always find it strange that tony blair is held solely responsible for the random mutations of bacteria due to decades of over use of anti-biotics... john prescot was probably involved as well.
Re: Justin Hawkins: tackles donut, breaks ribs for
Drunken bar fights would be a great game show.
Bloc Party - Banquet
I'm not bothered about it being a re-release but the fact it doesn't have anything in the way of new songs for the b-sides makes it disappointing and pointless (for those who have the album).
Re: The naughty forty - chart update
I know it didn't at one time 'cos they sourced all their cds from outside the EU. I think they were forced to move to a european supplier (record companies being bitchy) but are still from outside the UK so it won't count towards it. I could be wrong though.

We should revolt! Down with the capilalist pigdogs! Smash the system!

Re: Thermals over Britain this April...
Isn't it just really crappy production standards?...a very unrefined kinda sound. The thermals are good...shame that bristol is the nearest they come to me.
Re: Feeder - Pushing The Senses
Pixies, Nirvana, Bob Dylan, Velvet underground....none of these are particularly talented musicians but are still remebered because they produced memorable interesting music which has had a large influence since. The most talented musically speaking aren't always rembered as its those who are more creative and imaginitive that have effect. Feeder just seem to be moving across ground thats already well traveled and over-populated already. They are making music that doesn't distinguise its self from the crowd by being that differnt in style or content or by being the best of the crowd. I am going to re-listen to it but i wasn't really convinced the first time through that it was sufficently differnt from albums i already owned by feeder and other bands(it seems too similar to CIS just with less individual character) to justify spending money on it.
Re: Feeder - Pushing The Senses
Talent is all well and good but it doesn't always mean intresting music. In some ways its better to be talentless and intresting then talented and boring. I wanted to say this album was good but i've listened to it and it had no effect on me what so ever. It seemed to be pretty by the numbers rock ballad stuff. I may change my mind if i hear it again (people i know have it, i can steal their copies!) but it doesn't seem worth buying on the strengh of what i've heard.
Re: Pop horror! Gates to join Boyzone?
I've seen 5ive live....it was by accident though. They were at some free radio 1 thing in plymouth. Well disappointing, there were only 4 of them. In my defence Ash were playing as well and it was free.
Bloc Party - Silent Alarm
Got it yesterday, its great.
Re: 21 dates for 65days
I can't go. Which sucks. Have fun.
Busted: busted
they promised that by the year 3000 they'd have released 7 albums....a come-back is assured
