Great band
People who critique this for being lo-fi are idiots.
it's like people who say shotters nation is better than down in albion. the latter is the intimate, rough-edged often-harrowing navel-gaze of a man on the edge. the former is a shiny, big, bland, meaningless fan-pleasing record.
in short, don't hate them because they are beautiful.
good review
apparently team waterpolo are sheer gash, though. no idea what the 'buzz' is about, except that they're very xfm.

Hey
I like this article!
It's entertaining in the same way that Steve Wells is/was entertaining - an engaging, occasionally humorous piece of pure polemic that's designed to (and clearly has) got some people's hackles up. suckers!
Even if writing 'the anti-punk article' is something of a cliche too...
first album
- great in parts. 7 or 8 ex10. they had melodies, they held promise of maturing.
this one:
- corporate as all hell.
3/10.
But really, it's the words that drive the final nail. Mr Maker = hilarity x unintentional hilarity.
yours is meaningless
To say that 'Nabokov is a dangerous tool in the wrong hands' is an attempt to create a vapid truism rather than engage with why my parrallel is/isn't accurate.
good use of a glib unubstantiated
trope about the 'perils' of Nabokov there. always good to know that aphorisms can still stand-in for argument.
a stitch in time saves nine. or something.
and another thing
to say it's sexist is idiotic. it's descriptive. its art - characters, states-of-being rather than normative notions.
It's like saying Lolita encourages paedophilia. Grow up.
embarrasing review
that speaks volumes about its author but nothing about this album, which is very passable.
It's meant to sound like backing tracks to moments of poignant dancefloor contemplation on teen flicks. They're holding a prom to launch it.
you've missed the point. sublimely.
