I was listening to...

...Gloomy Planets whilst making that comment, and it doesn't come much better than that in my book, just beautiful, hence the OTT remark. It's hard to say whether it's one of the best 12 albums of the first 6 months of the year, I'd think it's there or thereabouts. I just really want everyone to hear it.

spot on...

...ElasticMan. Had all the songs on Cut Copy been as good as Far Away I might agree with it though.

If the Notwist record isn't on there tomorrow I'll probably have a nervous breakdown.

It's about time...

...somebody mentioned the toothless f**kwits that intercept all the tickets for big (or biggish) gigs in London, bane of my life! I was wondering how Vince Power's (rubbish, cock) career in promoting started, all seems clear now.

He does deserve credit for the constantly groundbreaking Reading lineups over the last several years though.... nnnnnnnoooooooooooyyyyyyyyrrrrrrrrrttttt!!!!

^

No

Aaaaarrrgghhhh...

...this is the problem with two weekends. I have tickets to vs Pitchfork which is sporting a descent line up. I was feeling quite smug until I looked at all the bands added to this one over the past few months. The line up is INSANELY good. But can I afford this one too? Probably not. What to fricking do?

On the up side, we have the Fav. Hallelujah!

Yannis rude?

Never!!!

I agree

with the title slating, what were they thinking?

This review was really hard work to read.

Pig wank my arse...

... that's it.

this band...

...sound like a bunch of fucknuts!

Only kidding.

The world is their lobster.

When are they playing in Australia?

Guillemots...

...great birds, excruciatingly boring band, surely? What is wrong with everyone? Some great shouts in this article though.

Ass Hat.

Was getting bored shitless reading these comments but the above remark has made my day. Just trying to decide who to call an ass hat at silver rocket tonight. I have my suspicions!

I'll be in Melbourne.

What a cruel, cruel twist of fate!

Importance

THE EARTH IS NOT A COLD DEAD PLACE. If anyone can convince me that said album is not one of the most beautiful pieces of recorded music around then I don't ever want to meet them.
I can only hope that the new record will touch me anywhere near as profoundly.

I'm keane on maths.

7x15x(15÷3)+keane=a load of shit.

Collapse Rule

nuff said.

Stealthy(TWWWWWATTTTT!!!!)?

I don't like Korn, obviously you don't either. Is this justification for mocking the death of another person? I don't want to appear sanctimonious, but do you seriously have any idea what you're saying? Is your point that all stupid people deserve to be killed? You're mum's calling you for tea so you better hop off sugar!

Ahhh....

It all comes flooding back, what a weekend! that guy with the cape on (pictured on the homepage) was an utter tosspiece though!!!!! Yep, UTTER tosspiece! Y'all right about BSS, amazing. You all obviously neglected to watch Radar Bros, Herman Dune and Lightning Bolt though, wrongness. Gossip, PWWWWhhhhoar as usual!

please do not give any more photographic coverage to that daft, cape wearing, horn blowing, donald duck suit wearing, lame, yank prick. Cheers!

Aye!

Gotta get in quick, only 20 odd tickets left people!

LESS Savy Fav than we deserved.

Obviously the best band ever, 'twas my 5th time seeing those characters last night, shouldn't gloat yet though, it'll be 6 on Saturday night! I was actually pleasantly suprised by how good The Make Up spin-off band were but why were they headlining?? LSF had the authority to make the Mars Volta support them at their first gig at the ULU, no mean feat considering the success of At The Drive In. Tim Harrington is clearly the most entertaining frontman in the biz, it's nice to see a man getting his 'robust' belly out rather than tousling a lame mop of indie hair. Cheers MD for bestowing such a positive review on a criminally under appreciated band. Let us all just hope they get longer on Saturday.

Les Savy Fav play pre-ATP London show

Jolly good news that THE BEST BAND IN THE FUCKING WORLD are playing in holy Holloway before we descend to the coast for another ear bashing. I hope Tim Harrington dresses up as Sherlock Holmes again, 'twas the best thing I've ever seen! Maybe he'll appear as Ken Livinstone & promote his new extortionate £3 tube fare, or maybe even Sir Christopher Wren! It's all very exciting, & worth placing bets on I say. Roll on Nov the thirtieth!!!!!!!!

God bless Ronnie B, RIP :-(

Blunt is broke

Don't be daft, he was short & constipated weasel looking but he did have bulging army issue biceps. Who's going to mess with that? Also the threat of the royalty tank, Brilliant!!!

Get off your effing high horse.

Blunt is broke

The bugger can't be that skint, I saw him in the Water Rats last night and he was spending a few quid on impressing sychophantic young girls, fucking gimp! I was there to see Okkervil River's sold out show by the way, why have DiS not heard of this amazing band?

Arab Strap: Tour Dates in Full

The Garage is a moribund venue, ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE IN A BAND & WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW IT WITHOUT SAYING SO. On the other hand, if you go there you'll find that it is one of the few remaining indie haunts in London with any real dirt charm. Following the snazzy refurbishments to the likes of the Palace in Camden etc. it will be an ideal spot to watch Arab Strap. What is the use for a venue where everything works?

Courtesy of the Borough of Islington tourist board.

ps. We apologise for some of the cod metal acts that frequent this ridiculous venue on an almost nightly basis.

RFTC RIP

Someone's not seen them live or heard anything other than On A Rope at naff discos, thanks for that contribution then.
