what total jism
as pointless as this post
just being pedantic but
I thought Joss Stone was from Devon?
Afterall the Welsh have got enough shit artistes of their own
stand aside zak...
...allow Stuart Cable to fulfil his destiny.
cunts.
elbow
their leaders of the free world is cracking. but was it released in the last year? no idea.
get it together guys
some of Everything Is does sound alarmingly like Jet. I can't see much future for these boys, which is a shame as they have some good ideas.
it's mediocre
I was actually listening to this album recently for the first time in years (which says something). I have to say it's really not very good - the guitar sounds are awful & it just reminds me of oafs on TFI jumping around to Design for Life. Kevin Carter is great though & Small black flowers has to be one of their best songs.
go solo again
yeah there was no need for any 2nd album let alone 3rd.
I agree with Mr Vincent that Euphoria Morning was great though - he needs to do more of that & less cock rock.
Eleven? I seem to remember them & Moby supporting Soundgarden. Very good band.
primal scream
yes cunty girl is the worst song ever - give it up boys - nothing good has come from you since Vanishing Point.
to think
I went to see the fun lovin' criminals in a sports hall instead of BFF on their Messner tour. doh! yes the criminals were shite.
Haven't quite got on with the 2 solo albums though. His new band sound really dull to me.
Death Cab For Cutie - Soul Meets Body
only song i've heard of theirs & it's great - reminds me of Prefab Sprout which is a good thing.
Geneva - Weather Underground
bought it on a whim as I didn't really get the debut but it's a lost classic -'Museum Mile' hits the spot every time.
mark hollis - criminally underrated
the last four album that Hollis has made (his eponymous solo effort in 97/98 I think?) & the last 3 TT albums are all genius. Don't go any further back than Colour of Spring though as it's all parpy synths & tinny drums. It was 1984 to be fair but it's still nasty.
overrated twaddle
they are (were?) the emperors new clothes of rock. a couple of mediocre songs in 40 years should not equal legendary status. give up & die please.
i'm a tortoise dabbler
I own standards & a chicago underground quartet album but don't know what else is worth a listen in the tortoise oeuvre...any ideas?
even the sunday times joined in the kicking
they gave it 1 outta 5 stars. I have made my girlfriend put the 1st album on ebay so this will soon be a 'light free household

they can't give away this album
I've seen it everytime I visit a record store, always in the bargain section. It's been £4.99 for at least 6/7 years now along with liquid skin.
still it is a good album although i think the first 2 tracks are dodgy.
