I was there

it was breathtaking

ENDS

hiope they're good on Friday

but weirdly I will get over it and move on if they're not. They'll look shit as well - though I saw Debbie Goodge on and off at a rehearsal room in Kings X circa 2005 and she looked ok.

Totally diagree

All these bands are one dimmenional shit.

Tis is the most depressingly pointless use of musical instruments ever

someone just kill these people and soon.

Prick

Another legend goes by

but to be involved in all those magically romantic moments is surely something anyone with a soul would want to recount with pride.

I really did see Shakin Stevens just then didn't I?I

I'd go for Gilbert o Sullivan alone

why are none of these cunts overweight slightly

and yes I bet it matters!

what's everyone getting a bit precious about now?

band who don't ahve rich parents (I don't know for sure) have to play music AND make a living? Disgusting isn't it - throw them into the sea I say.

Proves my point again

a lot of people on this website are turning into their parents anyd none of them can see it

Kelly Osbourne has a radio show?

The world is wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong

Hideous venue

Good - too cavernous, dirty all over - like being forced to share a bed fully clothes with Pete Doherty for 3 nights during the hot summer on 2003 whilst suffering from a fever.

Glad to see it go. The only good thing about it was that I first met Mr Bobby Grindrod there.

Another line up change - why wasn't I informed? The last album was very lazy

shit titles as well. Can I be bothered to see them live AGAIN?

Agree re: Joy Division

sadly my fave album cover is Modern Life is Rubbish.

Their best album by far is the first one though

though I think Empire Song is one of my fave singles but its parent album Revelations is shit barring 'The Hum'

believe it or not I have all their albums

and all the early singles as I got a bit obsessed in the early 90s as an earnest student.

Anyone want Almost Red 12 inch perfect condition?

I even like 'Outside the Gate' and Brighter Than a THousand Suns' Oh dear.

Saw them in Manchester in 1994 - Jaz Coleman thought he was a priest. very funny

I did a gig here with Shaun Ryder and 'Lammo' djing in 2005

Not my favourite memory but its something for the annals of shite isn't it?

I got Amazing Grace for 50p in Fopp, which on reflection was just about fair

I have a Lazer Guided Melodies t shirt that glows in the dark. had it since college and now I paint in it

RULES

ARCADE FIRER SHOULD WIN EVERYTHING

based on the quality of songs on Neon Bible.

ENDS

it doesn't in any way

Take the romance out of festivals does it.

Never, as they say, trust a hippy. funny that.

So, not John Maus from the Walker Brothers then

as if I didn't know but I wanted to make that 'joke'

I remember the Madstock 'wars'

in 1992 and it was something which had been building up in NME for a few years as Moz had been constantly moaning that they'd caused The Smiths to split up - of course there were 'signs' ie Asian Rut etc and National Front Disco but they're just off-kilter lyrical imagery and not really enough to say 'God he's being racist' - its just soooo boring the way people get all LMHR in that student debate way the moment anyone says something 'out of line' - Morrissey isn't really Nick Griffin now is he? He's just a popstar saying silly things that could barely incite you to tut at the radio let alone go through Brixton with a giant flame thrower.

I'd watch the Silver Apples

But Im probably not allowed to say that as I'm not going and therefore makes my right in liking certain acts erroneous. Shame really.

one date is rubbish really

Glad I saw them when I did, won't rush for tickets as all the webtards will snaffle them up and then OMG themselves into an aneurysm. Sadly they're now a band you're 'meant' to like. The only thing good about them live was the noise and the fact that I was impressed with how many effects pedals they had. Thants to health and safety rules in LOVE CARLING clubs, they'll play as loud as Low

do you think

He's let himself go? Pointless interview questions but great interview

IN all my time in London and being out 'on the scene'

Larrkin Love qualify by MILES as being quite possibly the shittest band ever from now to infinity to have ever been allowed past the rehearsal room door. A big cosmic joke or mates of the editor. Its bands like that make you feel quite reassured that you have to die one day.

With KJ there is

silly posh boys in their 40s doing Yank metal - very disappointing. I think their Wagneresque pop stage had the most up its own arse potential. Great songs though.

There was always something comically intriguing about Killing Joke

and have always been an apologist for them but then they go too metal its just silly. The Murder Inc album is really good - well it was when I last heard it when I was urm....18

Christ

A heart attack at no age - mind you I imagine he must have 'liked a pint' - still that's guranteed work for YOuth

I wouldn't call Killing Joke -'industrrial' - Skinny Puppy et al were 'industrial though I suppose Murder Inc was almost industrial.

I'm wittering.

They were awful

Melody Maker was obsessed with them. I got them mixed up with Catherine Wheel.

Bye.

are they a baby version of the MEtro Riots

people letting off steam by smaching things. So 1955

This man is so irrelevant I can't even get angry about him

surely the biggest insult ever/

His typos are worse than mine and I come from a line of failed bands

what's HIS excuse - the 2nd Portishead album??!?

but its ok for him to 'hassle' his wife is it?

That's rather backward of you.

see my comments on social board

Music is quite dull when you look at it from the point fo view of an award ceremony isn't it?

on my birthday - good

still their second album was blah hopefully this one will be better. Nothing beats their artwork either.

that's the DIY subba culture of da youth for you

its like Crass or something

Its the future innit?

The only way to make money from music is through gigs and 'merch' as Mcgee says.

The Charlatans are just 1990 to me. Go away.

I like Keane says Bamos

I've got all their record discs

did he go to school with Jamie T?

I like acoustic guitars

most overrated band on the planet

and only amazing if you don't know much about music. They're 'ok' but not messianic or anything, not by a long chalk. All you need are the obsure post Smiley Smile albums, mid period ELO, a bit of Roy Wood, Os Mutantes and knowledge of the Radiophonic Workshop BANG! Instant SFA.

^ Agree

I used to go in there after rehearsal (2002-2004) and it was dead dead dead!
