It's a bit depressing that these are the best DiS can suggest - TNP are reasonably good but the rest are mediocre at best. The standard of bands in the UK at the moment is abysmal.

Arctic Monkeys are probably the only newish UK band about who'll sustain a Radiohead-sized career but I can't see them doing it with the creative freedom Radiohead seem to have earnt themselves.

It'd be surprising enough if any of these bands last the next 3 years, never mind "do a Radiohead".

but it's saved by a handful of the best songs they've written, like "Dead Sound" and "Blush". But surely they can't keep this schtick up for much longer!

that album didn't show any diversity - it was just a bad version of the album before it.

Nothing of his I've heard has been anything less than captivating.

hopefully not in the same way that Supernature was Black Cherry II - that album is so uninspired.

Most of the time Sugababes couldn't have been more deadpan if they tried, its not as if shes radically changed her style.

And the new Groove Armada album marks the first time they've been halfway decent - it's got some boring tracks but when they try their hand at pop it's great, better than the "best chillout eva" guff they used to peddle. This song gets much <3 from me.
