brilliant

thank you for bringing this album to my attention, it is absolutely wonderful! I had never heard of him before but on the strength of this review I bought it the other day, fantastic stuff, great effort! truth flood and salt lake cuts are two favourites at the minute

Yvash

Finally someone who thinks the same! They said they made Live show as a project and Human after all was definitely a step towards that, its no coincidence that the album made sense after the live shows, I still really liked some of the tracks off it anyway, didnt think it was too bad

PdP

thought pantha du prince would be higher up, its a brilliant album, really organic sounding, love the whole natural vibe of it, looking forward to the top ten!

i really really like this record

I would easily give it a 9, really enjoy all tracks on the record, the music is very interesting, I agree with funkster's comment, love castles in the snow, slow and yellow balloon are great, though i like all the tracks.
This review reminds me of the time moderat was given a 6, I and many others were baffled.
Each to their own i suppose

yes

got this today on the strength of this review and I really enjoy it, didnt like the vocals as much at first but as the album progresses the vocals get better and better, great album, really great. 2010 continues to be a great year for music

Look forward to it

great to see a big up to the chameleons in there, comparing interpol to joy division(like so many do) is just silly.
Looking forward to buying this next week, this time I havent listened to any of the album cause i want it to be a surprise. For OLTA I had heard several tracks before it came out and when i only had a few new ones to listen to when i bought the record I decided that i'd never listen to leaks again!

no way is this a six

at least an 8 in my opinion

i dunno

i thought lamb was ok, anyone who plays the 10minute dark train by underworld at 11 in the morning is ok by me!
6mix has been awesome, especially getting derrick may on board for a few shows, if they could replace dave pearce dance anthems with a different kind of electronic music show it would be perfect!

crap

lil wayne is actually dire

i think a 9

seamonkey is awesome too
i like the way its a darker sounding album, i think the lack of mischief on this release is a good thing, though different strokes for different folks etc

^^

can i have a job please?

hold on a minute

late of the pier-fantasy black channel

mine

cut copy-in ghost colours
deerhunter-microcastle
fleet foxes-fleet foxes
crystal castles-crystal castles

thats it really, though its been a year of looking backwards for music rather than looking forwards

what the fuck are you on about? theres been some great records coming out over the past year

oh no

im going to stop downloading immediately.....april fools! (i thought someone might as well take advantage)
i buy all the albums by any artist i feel earns my money, any album i like i always buy cause i like having the cd BUT i think if you re curious its ok to download to see if an album is ok, you shouldnt have to buy it first, you cant just go round wasting tenners....

http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_entertainment/music/article3265717.ece

that truckload of money thats just arrived in bonio's driveway is eemingly not enough.....

^^^

how have they done this? one needs to provide examples if one is going to make sweeping statements like that.
my friend works for camel and so on and so forth......
only joking, hes dead.

mmmm

i fucking hate the enemy. I blame NME and stupid joe public who sent this guys album to no.1 (at the expense the far superior interpol) thus sending him the message that what he says relates to the ordinary working class 'bloke'. if you bought the album you are a prick.
While i think the arctic monkeys are quite overrated i still think they come up with some decent tunes, certainly better than hard fi, the enemy and other shit. such as the fucking view. which leaves me with one last point, that gives me some hope. the view played tennants vital in 06, they played wasted little djs and everyone left leaving them begging everyone to stay. this pleased me.

alas

arcade fire are a good band, but they really do try so hard to be EPIC. the camera sweeps across the stage, the backing 'soaring' vocals, the 'mad' drummer(who climbs up the side of the stage to play the metal pole just to show arcade fire make a noise out of anything and arent restricted to the world of instruments, the only problem is any sound he makes up there is wasted, for there is no microphone there) all contribute to one fucking annoying gig. while throwing a shoe is a little rude, i can understand that someone just snapped.

mmm

i think the review is pretty correct, maybe worth a seven but you would think that there were better contenders for second singles on the album, who do you think, rest my chemistry and pace is the trick being the obvious choices. no i in threesome is the second american single so they ll probably release it here next a la muse with knights of cydonia

yep

kate nash has a really annoying voice. really annoying. people who pronounce every word exactly are annoying enough but add that to music and you ve found a way to ruin my day

ps. facebook is s**t

the hives are cool

this post was inspired by the hives tongue in cheek attitude
