Just heard about this - am so there to see O'Death. They are frigging AWESOME!! On their myspace it has the 18th down as well but doesn't seem to be listed anywhere... hmmm.

will not be betrayed for the prospect of 2 free festival tickets. However good the festival and however tempting it may be.

they're playing in Europe over Reading/Leeds weekend. Will just have to see them in London or Liverpool (actually - it has to be the 'pool, venue is TINY)

there weren't that many people in the carling tent for twilight singers on friday night - doubtless all off watching primal scream or... *shudder*... franz f*cking ferdinand. Anyone else fancy forming a Gavrilo Princip collective and, as they've so invitingly suggested, 'take them out'?
Anyway, far from a ff bashing post, just wanted to say how absolutely goddamn awesome the twilight singers and Mark Lanegan were. Thanks to aforementioned clueless folk I was able to waltz up to the front, and it. Was. The. Shit. Never mind I didn't know any of the words, never mind how many cigarette companies have contributed to Lanegan's voice, never mind if I was garry'd off my head, it was mind blowing. So a lot of the other bands at Reading sucked (Kooks ffs?)- on this gig alone, I easily got my money's worth. Whisper it slowly kids... great musicicians still exist. (Now just don't go buying up all their tickets next time they're in town else I'll have to get antsy).
