why didn't you see anyone decent?!
i managed to see Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Manics, the Twilight Sad, We Were Promised Jetpacks, Idlewild, Boys Noize, The Specials, Pulled Apart by Horses, Dananananaykroyd (best festival set EVERRR). You chose KOL and James, WUT
london and brighton.
well that's just fucking brilliant.
why play two places LITERALLY FUCKING HALF AN HOUR FROM EACH OTHER!??
ROLO TOMASSI
LOS CAMPESINOS - the 2nd one
WHY?
JOFO
FRIGHTENED RABBIT
ELLE MILANO
FUCKED UP
BRITISH SEA POWER
i heard
their song 'gasoline' on the radio and thought it was razorlight.
stig man won?
ah, i thought towlie had. damn £100 being decided by people shouting! i spent a good 3 hours on mine.. bin raking, sellotaping and the rest of it... you at glasgow uni then?!
arrgh i meant to reply to
DangerousSnails but it went to the bottom for some reason, anyway yes go look there cause i shared a stage with you yesterday.
haha, QM last night?
i was on stage with you! i was the titanic. lego man should've won.. towlie guy was LAME..

have they noticed the existence
of file2hd.com which practically makes downloading from blogs obselete anyway?
interesting artwork
innit
dirty pretty things
seemed quite exciting when they first appeared... i saw them twice.
noone seemed to care about them second time round though.. i've not even heard the singles off the second album.
they were okay, but I cant see anyone missing them that much...
glasgow academy?
could be worse i suppose.
here's a few...
frightened rabbit, the twilight sad, broken records, copy haho, danananaykroyd...
I-saw-them-two-and-a-half-years-ago..
and they sounded like hilarious phil spector cast offs.
erm,
frightened rabbit?
Midnight Organ Fight is 1000000x better than Antidotes.
i thought
eddie jordan and the robbers or whatever it is were headling Pet Sounds on sunday but obviously not...
should've been at Zoey van Goey in t-break. they wiz good.
good choice of bands!
fucked up were indeed incredible.
IT WASN'T TO THE METRO
it was actually the Record PM which is like london lite but owned by the daily record.
i'm not sure
johnny foreigner are supporting Foals AT ALL.. but dananananykroyd and jofo are touring together from the look of things..
jofo AND danananananaykroyd..
are supporting Foals? WOWW i may have to get a ticket now.
see...
when they were on the cover of The Skinny.. it said they were scheduling a date in scotland.. obviously not though.
i remember people
laughing at the Q awards for having so many 'icon'/'special'/'legend' etc. awards, but this actually has NOTHING ELSE.
i've never seen
any 'fighting' at T in the Park at all.
the whole 'great atmosphere' thing is mostly bollocks.. it's just lots of drunk people.. but i've yet to witness any violence there.
hehe
wowaz thanks.
next one.. er, 'summer' is the current estimate..!
ahaha
gemma and fiona and their chocolate based snacks!
however, you neglected to mention the AWESOME fanzine, including interview with jofo, i gave you at the glasgow gig, which I'm sure played a MASSIVE part in your month.
aaaaaaaaaaa)
glasgow yep.
strange
there's usually a couple of good/passable acts on the OBW line-ups.. mysteriously absent this time around.
i think there's at least two other stages though so they'll probably have SOMETHING decent on them anyway.
Elle Milano's
single came out today too.
album's out in two weeks now also!
exciting times. look forward to reading the DiS review of it..
TWILIGHT SAD VS GLASVEGAS
lollzzz
the new blur/oasis?
seeing as the twilight sad have yet to be registered on NME's "radar", i can't see it happening I'm afraid..
yeah same
i saw them in may 2006.
they're okay. all this hype took me by surprise a bit.. i dont think i'm alone in saying they were regarded as a bit of a joke until a few months back though... (see: http://www.jockrock.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4562&sid=e946ba5915dfc1ada11481be025340d7 )
What do you see as being the catalyst for this sudden surge of attention?
hmm.. maybe the fact, *TIM JONZE*, NME journalist, set up an ENTIRE LABEL to release glasvegas' singles. then, suddenly, almost, COINCIDENTALLY, overnight they become the NME's favourite new band.
coverage in every scottish newspaper and the national music press follows promptly..
i love the way the music industry works.
klaxons?
LIVE ACT?
hahahahaaaaaa
arrggghh
no scotland :(
their glasgow show last month was immense.
it makes no sense. at all.
alan mcgee's been posting practically daily bulletins on myspace about this band for at least 18 months, yet suddenly NME takes notice and now they're EVERYWHERE. and they're not even THAT great. why aren't the twilight sad getting this amount of attention?
elle milanoooo
are releasing an album SOMETIME though they've been saying that since at least may 2006.
russian song
was on the t-break compilation.. so in a way it has been released.
it's on their myspace page, seems to have been renamed though!
broken records
for certain.
also: popup, elle milano, los camps! will go massive, sky larkin...
disantiestablishmentarianism
"it's the longest word in english don't you know"
FUCK OFF, noone cares.
BROKEN RECORDS!
i've been going on about this band for a few months. they are IMMENSE.
first saw them supporting idlewild last month, and they truly were amazing..
nice to see that DiS are giving them some exposure!
tim jonze
is about the only thing the NME's still worth reading for.. maybe not counting this morrissey thing.
yayyy
king tuts again.
the hold steady
did their latest album come out this year?
just a thought.
kubichek!
easily one of the top 50 albums of the year.
and DiS gave it 9/10.
css
was released july 2006.
the rakes album is nothing special.
and the enemy? hahahahahhaaa.
this
is good news.
i think it's going to be a great album.
startling ommission
the wombats..
and that idiot from the courteeners.
NME have been hyping both to death recently.. i see they have got that joe jing jung cunt in there somewhere at least.
glasgoww!
YAY.
sky larkin are in my fanzine.
it's WELL good.
freewebs.com/mysterymagazine
thankyou.
strange
there WAS a glasgow date, at. the arches
blood red shoes
supporting too?
in glasgow they were on before good shoes, playing to a half empty venue. nevertheless, i think they actually went down better.

their loss
lamacq's old 4 hour show on a monday night was amazing, the 1 hour thing never really worked though, playing about 1 minute of each track.
if you're moaning about jo whiley, bear in mind theyre about to replace her with... fearne cotton, and edith bowman with that other annoying prick who's always on. I HAVE TO LISTEN TO THIS STATION AT WORK PEOPLE!
and replacing colin murray (who was, to be fair, quite decent) with nick grimshaw is farcical.
