so glad
i found this band this year
we kinda did this
stupid internet AA directions told us to go through bristol. was only a panicky 5 minutes though whilst we found the next M5 sign...
getting out of glastonbury 07 was a bit of a weird one. it had rained all night, but we hadnt really cared because we sat in a cafe all night on speed eating bacon sandwiches.
when it came to walk to the carparks though it was carnage. cars stuck everywhere with muddy writing on them saying "10 hours from here". some of our friends had left at 5 in the morning to try to avoid the rush, but we ended up walking past their car at about midday. the lucky part for us is that, having turned up on the friday our car was on the very outskirts of all the carparks. meaning we missed all the queues and drove straight onto the road :)
this year was loads better though. only 4 hours back to coventry with a few traffic jams...
hate?
bit of a strong word for someone you just "dont find funny"
i find bill bailey actually hilarious. never laughed so much as when i saw him live, met him afterwards and he seemed a really nice guy.
obviously i'd need to meet him again to confirm his brilliance compared to john hegley
cheers for that
utterly pointless article
out of all the bands
that could be from coventry, it had to be the enemy...
i thought
readers of drowned in sound were, on the whole, perceptive to the point where they could at least realise its completely tongue in cheek, and probably a dig at the rubbish reasons some other bands give for splitting up.
arrrgh!
why always the good ones.
im sure the boys will make some good stuff under various new names. gutted i didnt even see them once. a band who were on their way up :(
seeing them
with the sequins next week, quite looking forward to see a band i actually like 5 minutes away from home :)
yeah
fair play, really good interview. takes you down some interesting path's in their mind.
fair enough
i think quite alot of the people making the mixtapes get permission. at least the bigger DJ's do.
not trying to rubbish DiS at all, saves me from boredom most days.
its cool
to have those tracks as suggestions, but its still not really a mixtape in the sense that most blogs post, like the guns'n'bombs one and DIOYY?
more in the high fidelity sense.
and like you say, that metric rmx is welllll old.
i use them
but i have to say, i think i've been to at least 3 or 4 gigs off the back of hearing something amazing on good weather for airstrikes etc.
i would never download whole albums like this though, just odd remixes and tracks that i might not have ever heard had it not been for blogs
is that
keiran mahon in the 4th picture down? the guy from TCTC
seconded
razor sharp remixes, every single one is immense
