Don't like the band
But am impressed by this and their attitude. Fair play.
YESSSSSSS
YAEERRGGHHH
hahaha.
MAGNETIC-TIC-TIC-TIC-TIC-TOCK
Jesus
Iceland has a tiny ass population.
Ditto
I'm totally hard for Iceland.
Come on
Help us get that trunk out.
CASSIUS
IT'S OUVAHH
Sorry
Hahah
Yet another "URGHHH!!! I fuckin love RAWWKKKKK!!" soundbyte from Grohl. Quality.
There's feckin
Mobile phone "blip-blip-blip" noises on the vocal track right before he comes in. How unprofessional
Cool
Is it just me that feels a little bit sick whenever I see Tom Morello crooning with an acoustic guitar though?
Nah
Having watched that sample video on deathcabforcutie.com and read what they've been saying about it ("we've got a ten minute long Can jam", "It's louder and more dissonant and ... I think abrasive would be a good word to use. We were influenced byeavy, sludgy, slow metal [and] synth-punk band Brainiac."), I think we'll see a departure from the polished "GiveUpified" poppery of Plans. I'm really fucking excited about this record.
No way you big spastic!
You're a mentalist!
Spanish Triangles
Is very iLT-esque...
Hahahah
WE'RE GOING TO BAN YOU FROM THE INTERNET! Jesus. Cock off.
Oh right
Yeah, he's got a point; there really isn't enough anti-Bush wind-pissing in alternative music. It's great that the outlet of ASMZ has allowed him to usher in the political revolution he's had up his sleeve all along.
FOR FUCKS SAKE
Can someone
Explain to me what the fuck he's talking about?
ANTHONY KIEDIS
TOTAL FUCKING DOUCHEBAG.
Have a great evening everyone.
YEAH DONT CALL THEM POST ROCK
THERE WAS NEVER ANY SUCH THING
LIKE SANTA CLAUS
Don't diss on Will Smith
He loves his Mastodon.
Ugh
I don't particulary like the Foos or this album, but this review is remarkably appalling. Total drivel.
Doesn't this guy
Play in goal for Arsenal?
Frames
Is BREATHTAKING. Please buy it.
The horny pigeons one I mean
Eheheheh.
HAHAHA
Oh man, best post ever. I love you.
Well I read it
And I too have been "initially disappointed that (Neurosis) didn't provide the same thrills and spills as Isis did", but that post has made me think I should give them more time to sink in! I afforded Isis the same after all, so it's illogical to dismiss Neurosis because I don't like them on first listen, or figure having spent time on Isis will immediately grant me an inside track into Neurosis' stuff.
Half the time
I think Meg looks like a horrid little hobgoblin, and the other half I think she looks cute. Her norks look good in that picture.
You guys
The Muse sure is a great band.
Ugh
I've tried to listen to this in a variety of different settings and in a variety of different frames of mind, and I still find it inane and completely boring. This is doubly annoying because all I'd read about it beforehand had me thinking I'd definitely like it, being a big fan of instrumental mathy disco rock and the like... but there really isn't much that appeals to me here. The tellytubby vocals make me feel like I'm having a nightmare, a lot of the amusical bleepy bloopy noises make me feel like I'm hungover with a dreadful headache and an urgent urge to vomit, and there's absolutely nothing rhythmically inspiring apart from the pretty cool drumming on the first track. "Atlas" in particular - and quite ironically given that it's the single and the tune on the album people bang on about the most - is excruciating for me to listen to. I'd like to think that it'll grow on me, and I won't rule it out, but at the moment it ain't looking likely.
Fucking horrible band
Die die die
Yeah
Damn that "rock" music. Who needs it.
Painfully.
Whilst on-stage.
This is fucking disgusting.
There are so so many utterly abhorrent and fundamentally dispiccable wastes of fucking oxygen and airtime on that record. It's essentially a collection of Smashing Pumpkins songs as interpreted by a variety of trendy haircuts. GRRRRRRR
All of these people
Are a tragic waste of precious oxegen.
I hated
Ignoto when I first heard it; now it's genuinely one of my favourite albums ever. I loved this when I first heard it, but now, save two or three tracks, it bores me. Go figure.
This is totally my
Favourite worst album cover
I wish
I'd actually put in the groundwork earlier in life to be widely referred to by a cool nickname like "Pheonix" :(
Wow
The Killers really said that? Kudos on the honesty
The beginning of the end
Thank christ.
It's definitely rabid
You're not gonna achieve anything though, other than reinforce whatever stereotype currently exists of Biffy fans as overly defensive, aggressive-when-challenged headbangers who are far too quick to take criticism of the band personally. As a Biffy fan I find this embarassing, because I associate that mentality with children; with bands like Avenged Sevengold and My Chemical Romance. I love Biffy, but I'm not crying about one review of one single on one website - what's the point!?
Not rapid
But RABID!
Ugh
I knew the rapid fanboi backlash was a-comin'. Stop it, you're embarassing :(
:D
Wahoooooo
