You wrote the review without mentioning Nick Cave! Anyone would think that Grinderman had been around since the dawn of time though this is their first record. Even though all the guys in the band have been in the Bad Seeds for years.
frickin' frick
booyah.
Stranger Sons of WB
are wicked, have a listen on myspace.
No Kill No Beep Beep
^^^ just fixing the error.
No Kill Beep Beep
Good choice
I agree
That record is 70% filler if you ask me.
WIVES
Top man for putting Wives on the list
D_O_W_N
AND THAT'S THE WAY WE GET DOWN!
I'm a big Nick Cave fan
and it's true I repel people like anthrax (yes i mean the 80's metal band).
thankyou
.
That's a shame
5RC were a good label, they did the seconds and need new body too.
cock
.
Yes
I watched the video on the sight and I thought the same thing, a mix of Queen and Green Day.
.
I see what you mean about the Queen thing with all its grandiose pomposity. I guess the song's cool if you like glory.
.
I'd chop onions to this!
.
Wasn't Ian Mackaye in Embrace!?
i did a test
and it said i am an emo. I don't cut my wrists but i am guilty of sitting in dark rooms.
Woop
I'm there.
What frustrates me most about Mars Volta
is that they seem to go for aesthetics over passion and raw energy. At the Drive in, the Tremulant ep and to a certain extent Deloused have bile and guts to them. This attitude seems to have been supplanted by a greater emphasis on technical proficiency and a "I can so i will" attitude. I want them to go back to their original values and get angry again, especially the singer.
hAS your split
got a lock-groove on the xbxrx track so that it just plays forever and sounds like a girls school burning in hell? It freaked me out when i realised i'd been listening to a 7" for about 30 mins!
i wanna see
the new bands theyre in
Stoner rock tag teams
Awesome!
General Pigeon
cluck cluck
thanks Daniel
it was a special show for us.
Adrenaline
is my favorite Deftones album
An Albatross
Score 10/10 for their attitude towards performance though. Like when that stupid kid started fucking with the keyboards at the Garage gig and the whole band started pointing at him saying "get out" and "i will kill you" haha that was really well dealt with. I prefer An Albatross as an energy source. They burn most efficiently.
The title
Is the contemplative line from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas when Hunter S Depp casts his mind back on the high day of 60's counter culture.
Thing is
Muse just don't have the guts they're just another bland rock act flogging a tired formula into the afterlife.
Yes
They havent broken up. Mike you lied!
its maths
math is for yanks boi
ammendmant
Optimist Club are not on the bill for the 13th of April- sorry.
a-ha
sorted
Im gonna Die
The next time i hear a band compared to Q and not U !
I thought
Econoline Split up?? wasnt that like a last ever gig at silver rocket a while go? maybe i've gone mad
Ok
no i havent checked that out yet, i've got it(is it) critical band. Its ace.
That's weird
I'm actually listening to 90 day men right now and i just read this news, that's awful. I prefer their early stuff but would still loved to have seen them live. Another great band bites the dust.
well
You didn't have to be Nostradamus to see that one coming!
I bought this today
and it's absolutely amazing.
That's
The best album cover i've seen for ages
That line
is a bit of a RIP from Nation of Ulysses: "My t-shirt shows everything". Hmm, too close to the bone?
Yeah
That's the first thing i thought! damn armchair cynics
Haha
You poor thing
The Sound
Wasn't that great in the underworld, you could hardly hear the guitar and the bass was quite and muffled. Despite this the Locust managed to evoke vivid visions of radioactive apocalypse the streets were ablaze and people were mutating alarmingly quickly.
Before this happened a tramp pissed on the floor in front of where we were standing. The locust came on like spidies evil twins and hardcore kids got dusted and started rolling in piss.
