I think so...
Agghh, and Spz are clashing with Black Mountain. Gah.
This gig...
...WILL be amazing. And LOUD. Fantastic lineup.
Evil indeed.
Love this album to bits.
It sounds pretty different to the first album in my view. Lots more drones going on this time...more brooding sounding. Loves it.
my favourite..
...album of theirs. It is glorious.
:-(
Terrible tracklisting.
I miss the idlewild of olde.
Where did shouty Roddy disappear off to by the way?
got it!
Recieved the album in the post today.
All I can say is wow!
This is THE album to bring back the fans of the first two albums.............
This is an evil, brooding, slow-burning motherf**ker of an album and captures their LOUDNESS perfectly.
Welcome back Sam Hemptom's drumstick guitar playing as well by the way!
Great
Bought a promo copy of this recently. It is brilliant.
Fans of recent Blonde Redhead will love it.
intriguing
Will be interesting to see what having Sam Hempton back in the fold does to their sound on this album.
They're back and seem better than ever..
I saw the reformed lineup twice a few weeks ago and have got to say they were mindblowing. It looks as though the time apart has done them good. They sound stronger than ever.
When I saw 6x7 live in August last year with Doggen on guitar (and Olley and Flower the only original members) it was probably my favourite gig of theirs...Hoever the gig in Nuneaton a few weeks ago has taken over.
Its great to hear all the older songs live again.
Looking forward to more material.
Another show has just been confirmed for 27th September in London with Ulrich Schnauss and Model Morning as supports.
maybe
Had Sam stayed then perhaps 6x7's direction might have been different.
Perhaps they could've been greater had he stayed...who knows.
Well, we're soon about to find out.....
woot!
I also love all their albums.
Their sound changed a great deal after the first 2/3 albums, but then they did have to adjust to compensate for their diminishing members.
Perhaps their change in direction didnt appeal to all their fans, but nonetheless they were great albums.
I saw Six By Seven perform live as a five piece (with Doggen from Spiritualized on guitar) in August and December last year and boy were they on top form. In fact I would even go so far as to say that their gig in August was one of their best.
It's great to see a band with this amount of determination to keep on fighting for what they believe in.
Its admirable, especially with the state of the way music is today.
