yes he is, but the point remains, most of those things can be said about any award show but Kerrang! is meant to be something else, it's obviously not, the kids seem to like it and they're making money out of it so it's likely to go on

Re: Various - Skate To Hell (The Extreme Skaterock Collection)
the line up on thsi record just gets stupid, it's basicly one of those soundtrack albums from films where they get away with filling the album by having song played over the credits, ie you skate then listen to this stuff at home later, so while stupid it's not worse than that

Re: Carling Weekender 2003: Concrete Jungle & Danc
that was a terrible line up, last year it was pretty good, the year before even better, this yeah, pah, still, better than the comedy 'shade' tent that it was for the rest of the weekend, i'm afraid this year it was the year of the radio 1 and carling tents

Reindeer Section for instance, tho they had thier little bands before the big one, but on the same model lines
anyway, as i said before, their Disney deal isn't part of this 'drop' so they've still got that, even if it means packing up and sitting back untill it kicks in properly

Re: Angus Young R.I.P.?
if we reported is that he died in some manner that would damage his image, such as during a child porn orgy/endangered species barbeque party or some such, and while the dieing bit might not be much of an issue (ie he either did or didn't, right or wrong) the other part is a far more legal matter, saying he gets up to such things off the cuff isnt' really they way to go about matters
it's bad enough when someone ODs and the press is split between "he's great for being a junkie" and "terrible example to our kids" etc, that could lead to loss of earnings, even just a big rumour if it's spread around enough
turns out he's alive, and while likes dressing as a schoolboy, isn't a peado, as for as DiS knows, as for endangered species? everyone likes to munch on a panda every now and then dont they? give him a break

cammo netting, it's worked for my last few Readings, it's easy to find my tent because it's in the spot that looks like it's empty, you get close and there you see it, a few tents safe from stealing and air strikes due to their invisibility

Re: Bisexuality Sells - 'He's/She's No.1' is here to confuse you
this thing can hardly be reported in any other way, and i mean, it's not like i've gone and hunted down the real story on this 'event' it's a press release, i'm writing about a press release here, the copy/pasted quotes have to sound like a press release because, y'know, they're from a press release
now, i don't know about you, but i'm not shocked that the slight ring of a press release came through in some of the article, y'know, not eveyone who reads Dis gets all of these press release through every day, it's called sharing not winning a creative writing contest
anyway, 3-4MB was ok for an mp3 back in the dialup days, 30+mb is fine in broandand isn't it? as more peopel switch over it becomes more open to users, just like mp3s becasme whem people got something better than a 7200 modem...

Re: Senator: DAMAGE PCS TO TEACH COPYRIGHT LAW
another quote from the old man who doesn't really understand computers - "in government agencies, employee use of P2P networks could also disclose sensitive government data to the enemies of this country"
that the government employees like a certain band? wow
actually, i keep a file called containing all my credit card and personal details in my shared floder, so yeah, he's got a point
duh
although eveyone loves to hate america "ooh, censoring the press" etc, they do have certain things called dissenting voices, just because one mad old man (who has money making copyright issues of his own at stake, being a musicion himself, other members of the senate, notably a senior Senate Judiciary Committee member Patrick Leahy is all against such measures
don't be so ready in your youthful anti-american fervers to think that theyr'e all the same, a single senator said that, not the President himself, Hatche's comments only came at the end of a list of alternatives and measures proposed
and it's not like the government hackers will be able to stay that far ahead of the public on such matters anyway, proactive hacking has never really been their strong point, also as noted the US would have to change a whole host of laws before even being able to get the new one on the books
so calm down, let Thom Yorke keep his monopoly on anti-US paranoia for just a little bit longer...
