Oh and...
Dolly Parton's "Nine to Five".
Deja Entendu
I so looked forward to hearing Mika's album, after the jaunty and ironic number one hit "Grace Kelly". But there is nothing original about an album of "homages", ahem. Hear Mika pay tribute to the Beatles "Eleanor Rigby", Queen's "Somebody to Love", Cutting Crew's "I Just Died in Your Arms Tonight", Sheila B and Devotion's "Spacer", Scissor Sisters' "Laura" and Pink Floyd cover "Comfortably Numb", Avril Lavigne's "Happy Ending", USA for Africa's "We Are The World", the incidental music from a pensions commercial and to top it off, the theme from "Sesame Street". If this is called original, I know I'm getting old.

Thanks so much
for your kind words. Telling the truth about this album is far more cutting than throwing insults. Overnight, my mind has managed to fill in the blanks on the rest of the "homages" on the album: Robbie Williams' "Strong" and Scissor Sisters' "Laura". No one needs to be snipey about this album. One listen and it speaks for itself.
